Abstract

Cardiac arrest or pulmonary event are one of the causes of code blue incidents in hospitals. The EWS score system included in the assessment is expected to be effective in helping identify the patient's early condition, with the EWS score system scaled in the hope that cardiac arrest events or code blue can be identified early and the identified patient scores can obtain services, right. Data taken at the Nurse Station 5.2 Siloam Hospitals Manado ward for the last six months from January 2017 to June 2017 are three code blue incidents caused by heart attack and cancer; two deaths and one using ICU referral path, and data from the last five months of Ferbuari 2017 to July 2017 10.8% of nurses did not apply the use of EWS scores properly. The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of the Early Warning Score (EWS) and ICU referral flow to patients at Nurse Station in Siloam Hospitals Hospital Manado. In this study the Method used is Quantitative Descriptive. Sampling using total sampling technique with the number of respondents 95. The study lasted for one month. The results were divided into 2 categories: EWS score 5-6 and EWS ≥ 7, so the results obtained with EWS score 5- 6 were Effective with frequency 29 with 96.7% presentation while Not Effective with frequency 1 with presentation 3.3% of total respondents with score EWS 5-6 is 30. As for EWS score ≥ 7 is Effective with frequency 58 with 89.2% presentation while Not Effective with frequency 7 with presentation 10.8% of total respondents with EWS score ≥ 7 which amounted to 65. Conclusion: applying scoring appraisal using EWS scores and ICU referral flow are applied in accordance with SOP Siloam Hospitals Manado in patients at Nurse Station inpatient can effectively identify early condition in patient / Kejadian henti jantung atau paru adalah salah satu penyebab insiden kejadian code blue di rumah sakit. Sistem skor EWS yang disertakan pada pengkajian diharapkan dapat efektif dalam membantu mengidentifikasi kondisi dini pada pasien, dengan diterapkanya sistem skor EWS dibangsal diharapkan kejadian henti jantung atau paru atau code blue dapat teridentifikasi dini dan pasien yang teridentifikasi skor bisa mendapatkan pelayanan, tindakan dan jalur rujukan yang tepat. Data yang diambil di bangsal rawat inap Nurse Station 5.2 Siloam Hospitals Manado selama enam bulan terakhir dari Januari 2017 sampai Juni 2017 terdapat tiga insiden code blue yang di sebabkan karena serangan jantung dan kanker; dua meninggal dan satu menggunakan jalur rujuk ICU, dan data dari lima bulan terakhir dari Ferbuari 2017 sampai Juli 2017 ada sebanyak 10,8% perawat tidak menerapkan penggunaan skor EWS dengan baik.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi keefektifan penilaian Early Warning Score (EWS) dan alur rujukan ICU pada pasien di Nurse Station rawat inap Siloam Hospitals Manado. Pada penelitian ini Metode yang digunakan adalah Kuantitatif Deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling dengan jumlah responden 95. Penelitian berlansung selama satu bulan. Hasil penelitian dibagi dalam 2 kategori yaitu skor EWS 5-6 dan EWS ≥ 7, sehingga didapatkan hasil dengan skor EWS 5-6 adalah Efektif dengan frekuensi 29 dengan presentasi 96.7% sedangkan Tidak Efektif dengan frekuensi 1 dengan presentasi 3.3% dari total responden dengan skor EWS 5-6 adalah 30. Sedangkan untuk skor EWS ≥ 7 adalah Efektif dengan frekuensi 58 dengan presentasi 89.2% sedangkan Tidak Efektif dengan frekuensi 7 dengan presentasi 10.8% dari total responden dengan skor EWS ≥ 7 yang berjumlah 65. Kesimpulan: penerapan penilaian skoring menggunakan skor EWS dan alur rujukan ICU yang di terapkan sesuai dengan SOP Siloam Hospitals Manado pada pasien di Nurse Station rawat inap efektif dapat mengidentifikasi dini kondisi pada pasien.
