Abstract

Patient safety is a fundamental principle in administering services and is a very important component in the management of health services at the hospital. There are 3 stages to the prevention of injury in patients who will undergo surgery i.e. stage signin, time out, sign out or called surgical safety cheklist. The purpose of this research was adalahuntuk see the compliance level of the operator in performing time out in the operating room RSUS Kupang. This research uses descriptive observational study type is meant to get the level of compliance of implementation time out in public hospitals siloam Mussel sampling used in this research is to accidental technique sampling. The instrument used is the surgical safety cheklist set by the World Health Organization. Compliance in carrying out time out november 2017 are included in the category of wayward 119 (65%), less obedient 16 (9%), and wayward 49 (26%). Factors that affect the non-compliance is the lack of understanding of the nurse and the lack of human resources, so that the need to have the support of the management of such a surveillance system the use of the surgical safety checklist so that the number of compliance in the time out could be increased / Keselamatan pasien merupakan prinsip dasar dalam pemberian pelayanan dan merupakan komponen sangat penting dalam manajemen pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit. Ada 3 tahapan untuk pencegahan cedera pada pasien yang akan menjalani operasi yaitu tahap sign in, time out, sign out atau disebut surgical safety cheklist. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tingkat kepatuhan operator dalam melaksanakan time out di kamar operasi RSUS Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif observasional dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan tingkat kepatuhan pelaksanaan time out di rumah sakit umum siloam Kupang pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik accidental sampling. Instrument yang digunakan adalah surgical safety cheklist yang telah ditetapkan oleh World Health Organization. Kepatuhan dalam melaksanakan time out november 2017 termasuk dalam kategori patuh 119 (65%)., kurang patuh 16 (9%), dan tidak patuh 49 (26%). Faktor yang mempengaruhi ketidakpatuhan adalah kurangnya pemahaman dari perawat dan kurangnya sumber daya manusia, sehingga perlunya mendapat dukungan dari manajemen seperti sistem pengawasan penggunaan surgical safety checklist sehingga angka kepatuhan dalam melaksanakan time out dapat meningkat.
