Abstract

Background: Sex education is the provision of information about biological development, sex, sexuality and relationships. Teenagers are populations at high risk for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) so they must be taught early on about HIV prevention and other sex education information. Sex education for teenagers can be given at home. In Indonesia to date sex education is still widely rejected by the public and is considered as a counter-productive activity and leads to pornography. The teenager pregnancy rate in NTT aged 15-19 years old is 27 per 1000 pregnancies. Aim: To describe attitudes of parents towards the sex education in Teenager in RW 12 Kelurahan Maulafa. Research Methods: descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sampling method uses accidental sampling aggregate 30 peoples. Study instrument used a questionnaire by google form. The data analysis technique used is univariate analysis, this research was conducted in March – May 2020. The Result: of the study show the general description of attitudes of parents towards sex education for teenager showed 90% being positive and 10% being negatif. Recommendation: for the next researcher is expected to be able to investigate further to find out the factors related to parental attitudes towards sex education for teenager.
