Abstract

Background: The development and utilization of technology demand the learning process of achieving quality education. Blended Learning is one of the learning methods based on technology that combines traditional (face-to-face) learning with online learning. It is important to know the perception of student learning effectiveness level in achieving satisfactory learning outcomes. Research objectives: To identify the correlation between perception of learning effectiveness of blended learning method with learning outcomes of nursing students Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH). Research methodology: Quantitative correlational. The population are students of faculty of Nursing UPH with total respondents are 412. Sampling techniques were taken using purposive sampling. The samples are 203 students, with inclusion criteria is students that have followed the emergency and critical care course and the exclusion criteria are conversion class (CC) students, students who have taken the validity and reliability test and students who are not willing to follow the study. The instruments using the questionnaire of learning effectiveness with the Guttman scale, the development of Slavin theory with validity value (rCount) > than (rTable) with (N) = 40 is 0.3120 and alpha Cronbach (0.829) > 0.6. The research will be held at the Faculty of Nursing UPH (April 2020 - May 2020) by spreading the questionnaire using a google link. The statistical test using Kendall’s tau correlation test. Result of research: There is a significant, weak and unidirectional relationship between perception of learning effectiveness of blended learning method with learning outcomes of nursing students Universitas Pelita Harapan with sig. (2-tailed) 0.033. Recommendation: Be able to examine the factors that influence the perception of learning effectiveness and relationships with other factors.
