Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of ethical leadership towards employees’ performance at PT. Bahruny Group. Based on the empirical data, the phenomenon occurred in the company is high labour turnover rate, which can negatively affect employees’ performance. Employees are valuable assets that can determine the success of an organization. Hence, the role of ethical leadership manages to solve the problem occurred in the company and improve employees’ performance. This study used quantitative approach and utilized SPSS Statistics software to analyze the research data. The analysis technique implemented in this research is simple linear regression with the equation of Y = 11.741 + 0.669X. Questionnaires were distributed to 70 employees in PT. Bahruny Group. The research results indicated that ethical leadership significantly and positively influenced the employees’ performance. It can be classified that the higher the ethical leadership being applied, the better the employees’ performance. In addition, the findings of this research emphasize that fairness, integrity, ethical guidance, and people-oriented as the dimension of ethical leadership, can improve employees’ performance./Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan etis terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Bahruny Group. Berdasarkan data empiris, fenomena yang terjadi di perusahaan adalah tingginya tingkat perputaran tenaga kerja yang dapat berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja karyawan. Karyawan merupakan aset berharga yang dapat menentukan keberhasilan suatu organisasi. Oleh karena itu, peran kepemimpinan etis mampu mengatasi masalah yang terjadi di perusahaan dan meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan software SPSS Statistics untuk menganalisis data penelitian. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier sederhana dengan persamaan linier Y = 11.741 + 0.669X. Kuisioner dibagikan kepada 70 karyawan yang bekerja di PT. Bahruny Group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan etis berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat diartikan bahwa semakin tinggi kepemimpinan etis yang diterapkan maka semakin baik pula kinerja karyawannya. Selain itu, temuan penelitian ini menekankan bahwa keadilan, integritas, pedoman etis, dan people-oriented yang merupakan dimensi kepemimpinan etis, dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan.
