Abstract

Musik bertemakan isu sosial memiliki jumlah penggemar yang besar di Indonesia. Namun hiphop yang berkarakteristik dekat dengan isu sosial tidak menjadi genre musik favorit di Indonesia. Lain ceritanya dengan Sub-hiphop Indonesia yaitu Hiphop Jawa terutama di daerah Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini berfokus kepada perilaku pelanggan generasi muda Yogyakarta dalam mengkonsumsi kelompok musik Jogja Hiphop Foundation. Hasil penelitian menunjukan besarnya pengaruh seniman-seniman besar di Yogyakarta dalam penerimaan masyarakat akan hiphop di Yogyakarta. Kualitas dari kelompok musik Jogja Hiphop Foundation dan penerimaan dalam kelompok sosial menjadi alasan utama generasi muda Yogyakarta dalam mengkonsumsi kelompok musik Jogja Hiphop Foundation. Ikatan komunitas hiphop di Yogyakarta juga menjadi benang merah berkembangnya hiphop di Yogyakarta
