Abstract

Destination image has become one of the most interesting topics in the tourism sector as destination image is believed as one of the factors that could give a competitive advantage to a destination. Based on the preliminary data, the author has found that destination image is one of the key concerns by the past visitors. A destination that could provide a positive image for the tourists would be more likely to gain a competitive advantage and also tourists’ loyalty by revisiting a destination. A positive image perceived by the past tourists would leave a memorable experience therefore the probability of revisit intention will be higher as well. The objective of this research is to find and see whether destination image has an influence towards tourists’ intention to revisit Kebun Madu Efi or not. Descriptive, correlational, and causal research are used in this research with using a quantitative approach to analyze, seek the relationship also the cause and effect between both variables. The data of this research is collected by distributing the questionnaires to 100 respondents who are qualified to participate in this research where the sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The result of the data analysis using simple linear regression showed that destination image has a positive influence towards tourists’ intention to revisit Kebun Madu Efi. Furthermore, the result also showed destination image has 44.6% influenced towards tourists’ intention to revisit Kebun Madu Efi through coefficient determination test. In conclusion, the author would like to recommend Kebun Madu Efi to keep on developing and creating better destination image to gain more revisit intention and competitive advantage in the tourism industry./ Citra destinasi telah menjadi salah satu topik yang paling menarik di dalam sektor pariwisata, dimana citra destinasi dipercaya sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat memberikan keunggulan kompetitif untuk sebuah destinasi. Berdasarkan data preliminari, penulis telah menemukan bahwa citra destinasti menjadi salah satu poin penting yang diperhatikan oleh pengunjung sebelumnya. Destinasi yang mampu menyediakan citra positif untuk para turis akan lebih mungkin untuk mendapatkan keunggulan kompetitif dan juga loyalitas turis dengan cara berkunjung kembali. Citra positif yang didapatkan oleh para turis akan meninggalkan pengalaman yang berharga sehingga probabilitas untuk berkunjung kembali akan meningkat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari tahu apakah citra destinasi memiliki pengaruh terhadap intensitas turis untuk berkunjung kembali ke Kebun Madu Efi atau tidak. Penelitian deskriptif, korelasional dan kausal digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk melihat hubungan, juga sebab-akibat antara kedua variabel. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan cara mendistribusikan kuesioner kepada 100 orang responden yang telah terkualifikasi untuk berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini, dimana teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Hasil dari analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa citra destinasi memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap intensitas turis untuk berkunjung kembali ke Kebun Madu Efi. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis data juga menunjukkan bahwa citra destinasi memiliki 44.6% pengaruh terhadap intensitas turis untuk berkunjung kembali ke Kebun Madu Efi melalui uji koefisien determinasi. Sebagai kesimpulan, penulis menyarankan Kebun Madu Efi untuk mengembangkan dan menciptakan citra destinasi yang lebih baik lagi untuk memperoleh lebih banyak intensitas berkunjung membali dan keunggulan kompetitif dalam industri pariwisata.
