Abstract

Latar Belakang : Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) merupakan virus yang dapat merusak sistem kekebalan tubuh manusia. Apabila individu yang terinfeksi HIV tidak ditangani maka dapat mengarah ke penyakit Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) yang dapat menyerang tubuh manusia setelah sistem kekebalan dirusak oleh HIV. HIV juga telah melanda seluruh negara di dunia dan untuk Indonesia sendiri, jumlah masyarakat yang positif pada tahun 2016 secara kumulatif sampai bulan Desember mencapai 232.323 jiwa. Banyak penelitian yang membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara depresi dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien HIV. Penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pasien yang mengalami depresi cenderung memiliki kualitas hidup yang kurang baik/buruk dibanding dengan pasien yang tidak depresi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian mengenai hubungan depresi dengan kualitas hidup pasien HIV di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village perlu dilakukan. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui hubungan depresi dengan kualitas hidup pasien HIV di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village. Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan desain studi cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 27 orang dan merupakan pasien HIV Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara convenience sampling. Pengambilan data akan dilaksanakan dari Januari – Juni 2021 dan hasil data akan diolah menggunakan program software IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) versi 25.0 dengan uji statistik menggunakan metode chi-square. Hasil Analisis Data : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara depresi dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien HIV di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village (P-value = 0,001). Simpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara depresi dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien HIV di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village./ Background: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that can damage the human immune system. If HIV-infected individuals are not treated, it can lead to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which can attack the human body after the immune system is damaged by HIV. HIV has also hit all countries in the world and for Indonesia itself, the cumulative number of positive people in 2016 until December reached 232,323 people. Many studies have shown that there is a link between depression and quality of life in HIV patients. The study showed that patients who are depressed tend to have a poorer / worse quality of life than patients who are not depressed. Therefore, research on the relationship of depression with the quality of life of HIV patients at Siloam Lippo Village General Hospital is necessary. Purpose of the study: To determine the relationship between depression description and quality of life of HIV patients at Siloam Lippo Village General Hospital. Methods: This research uses comparative unpaired categorical analytical research methods with cross sectional study design. The sample of this study was 27 people and were HIV patients at Siloam Lippo Village General Hospital. Sampling was carried out by convenience sampling. Data collection will be carried out from January to June 2021 and the results of the data will be processed using the IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software program version 25.0 with statistical tests using the chi-square method. The results showed a relationship between depression and the quality of life of HIV patients at Siloam Lippo Village General Hospital (P-value = 0.001). Results of Data Analysis: The results showed a significant relationship between depression and quality of life in HIV patients at Siloam Lippo Village General Hospital (P-value = 0.001). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between depression and quality of life in HIV patients at Siloam Lippo Village General Hospital.
