Abstract

The Coffee Crowd is one of the famous coffee shops in Medan. Coffee Crowd is located on Ringroad City Walks Floor 1 Jalan Ringroad Medan which was foundedin 2019. This research aims to analyze competence has an influence on the employee performance at Coffee Crowd Medan. The theory is discussed with regard to hospitality, hospitality management, competence and employee performance. Woodruffle (2019), work competence is defined as a concept related to work, namely showing the area work where people can be competent or superior. Ciner (2019), Employee performance is defined as how an employee fulfills their job duties and executes their required tasks. It refers to the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of their output. Performance also contributes to our assessment of how valuable an employee is to the organization. The writer uses quantitative approach as the research method. The writer uses two types of data collection in this study which are primary data and secondary data. Data was collected through interview and questionnaires distributed to employees. The data collected from total population and sample of 32 employees. The scale used to measure variables is the Likert scale. The results of the partial test can be explained that tcount (6.363)> ttable (2.042) and a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, namely: Competence does influence on employee performance at Coffee Crowd Medan. The Determination Coefficient Test results R square value of 0.574, this means 57,4% of the dependent variable Employee Performance (Y) which can be explained by the independent variable Competence (X) while the remaining 42,6% is explained by other variables which was not used in this study. The conclusion of this research shows the Competence does influence on employee performance at Coffee Crowd Medan. Coffee Crowd terletak di kota Ringroad Lantai 1 Jalan Raya Ringroad Medan yang ditemukan tahun 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa penagruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan di Coffee Crowd Medan. Teori ini didiskusikan berkaitan dengan keramahan, Manajemen Perhotelan, kompetensi dan kinerja karyawan. Woodruffle (2019), kompetisi ditentukan sebagai konsep yang berhubungan dengan pekerjaan, yaitu menunjukkan pekerjaan di mana orang dapat kompeten atau superior. Ciner (2019), Performa karyawan didefinisikan sebagai bagaimana seorang karyawan memenuhi tugas mereka dan mengeksekusi tugas-tugas mereka yang diperlukan. Itu mengacu pada efektivitas, kualitas,dan efisiensi output dari mereka. Kinerja juga memberi penilaian kami tentang betapa berharganya seorang karyawan untuk organisasi. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif sebagai metode penelitian. Penulis menggunakan dua jenis koleksi data dalam penelitian ini yang merupakan data primer dan data sekunder. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner didistribusikan ke karyawan. Data yang dikumpulkan dari total populasi dan sampel dari 32 karyawan. Skala yang dipakai untuk mengukur variabel adalah skala Likert. Hasil sebagian tes dapat dijelaskan bahwa tcount (6.363)> ttable (2.042) dan nilai yang signifikan dari 0.000 <0.05, kemudian Ha ditolak dan Ho ditolak, yaitu: bahwa pengaruh pada kinerja karyawan . Hasil tes koefisien penentuan hasil R kuadrat dari 0.574, ini berarti 57,4% dari kinerja variabel ketergantungan (Y) yang dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel independen (X) sedangkan sisa 42,6% yang dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak digunakan dalam studi ini. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kompetensi yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di Coffee Crowd Medan.
