Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the influence of training towards employee performance at Babura Dim Sum Steamboat, Medan. The writer chooses Babura Dim Sum Steamboat, Medan as the research object because there are some visitors expressing their dissatisfaction on the employee performance. Unfriendly, slow respond and ignorant some waitresses lead to bad feedbacks on the website. The need for training programs in corporate organisations is to bring changes in the employees’ attitudes, performance, motivation and satisfaction as well as their perspective of the organisations. Descriptive and causal study are used to analyse the sample of 70 customers. The respondents are employees of Babura Dim Sum Steamboat are taken using non probability sampling criteria using saturated sampling. Distribution of the questionnaires conducted has passed the validity and reliability test. The data tested also passed the normality test, heteroscedasticity and linearity tests. The value on the coefficient of determination shows 59.9% that training affects employee performance. It can be suggested about training, can suggest to provide training with the latest material in accordance with the employee's working conditions. Training can also be carried out in accordance with the job given so that the application of training can be effective in supporting employee performance for employee performance, can suggest to continue monitor the performance of existing employees at this time. By carrying out routine and regular performance controls, it is hoped that the restaurant will be able to provide maximum results in terms of service to visiting customers./ Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan Babura Dim Sum Setamboat, Medan. Penulis memilih Babura Dim Sum Steamboat, Medan sebagai objek penelitian karena ada beberapa pengunjung yang mengungkapkan ketidakpuasannya terhadap kinerja karyawan. ketidakramahan, respon lambat dan kecuekan beberapa pelayan menyebabkan umpan balik yang buruk di situs web. Kebutuhan akan program pelatihan dalam organisasi perusahaan besar adalah untuk membawa perubahan pada sikap, kinerja, motivasi dan kepuasan karyawan serta cara pandang mereka terhadap organisasi. Studi deskriptif dan kausal digunakan untuk menganalisis sampel dari 70 pelanggan. Responden adalah karyawan Babura Dim Sum Steamboat, Medan yang diambil dengan menggunakan kriteria non probability sampling dengan menggunakan sampling jenuh. Penyebaran kuesioner yang dilakukan telah lolos uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Data yang diuji juga lolos uji normalitas, uji heteroskedastisitas dan uji linieritas. Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan 59,9% bahwa pelatihan mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai. Dapat disarankan tentang pelatihan, dapat menyarankan untuk memberikan pelatihan dengan materi terkini sesuai dengan kondisi kerja karyawan. Pelatihan juga dapat dilaksanakan sesuai dengan pekerjaan yang diberikan sehingga penerapan pelatihan dapat efektif dalam menunjang kinerja pegawai. Untuk kinerja pegawai, dapat menyarankan untuk terus memantau kinerja pegawai yang ada saat ini. Dengan melakukan kontrol kinerja secara rutin dan berkala diharapkan pihak restoran mampu memberikan hasil yang maksimal dalam hal pelayanan kepada pelanggan yang berkunjung.
