Abstract

Tujuan dari organisasi akan tercapai jika sumber daya manusianya memiliki kinerja yang tinggi. Kinerja karyawan tidak akan optimal apabila hanya mengandalkan mesin produksi tanpa memperhatikan aspek manusianya. Pada hakekatnya faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi besar kecilnya kinerja karyawan diantaranya adalah motivasi kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Eksekutif Media Utama Medan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif dengan populasi adalah seluruh karyawan PT. Eksekutif Media Utama Medan dan sampel merupakan total populasi sebanyak 36 responden. Untuk memperoleh data, digunakan instrumen penelitian melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana dan untuk menjawab hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Kecenderungan tingkat kinerja karyawan mayoritas sedang dan ditemukan adanya karyawan dengan kinerja yang rendah, 2) Kecenderungan tingkat motivasi karyawan mayoritas sedang dan ditemukan adanya karyawan dengan motivasi yang rendah, 3) Ada pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh diharapkan dapat mengevaluasi kinerjanya dan meningkatkan motivasi di dalam diri karyawan agar mampu meningkatkan kemampuan dalam bekerja sehingga memberikan pengalaman kerja untuk memperbaiki diri dalam tanggung jawab bekerja dan bagi perusahan dapat melakukan pelatihan kepada karyawan agar memiliki kemampuan yang maksimal dalam bekerja serta dapat memberikan motivasi dalam bentuk perhatian, gaji sehingga karyawan memiliki rasa tanggungjawab dalam melaksanakan tugas- tugasnya./ The objectives of the organization will be achieved if the human resources are highly performing. Employee performance will not be optimal if only relying on production machines regardless of human aspects. In essence, factors that can affect the small performance of employees include work motivation. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of motivation on the performance of employees at PT. Medan Main Media Executive. The type of research used in this research is quantitative associative research with the population is all employees of PT. Executive Media Utama Medan and the sample is a total population of 36 respondents. To obtain the data, the research instrument was used through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results showed: 1) The tendency of the performance level of the majority of employees is moderate and found the presence of employees with low performance, 2) The tendency of the motivation level of the majority of employees is moderate and found the presence of employees with low motivation, 3) There is an influence of motivation on the performance of employees. From the results of the research obtained is expected to evaluate its performance and increase motivation in employees in order to be able to improve the ability in work so as to provide work experience to improve themselves in the responsibility of work and for the company can conduct training to employees in order to have maximum ability in work and can provide motivation in the form of attention, salary so that employees have a sense of responsibility in carrying out their duties.
