Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan. The focus in this study is to analyze the influence of Career Development towards Employee Performance at PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan. The theory used in this study is related to the theory of Career Development and Employee Performance. In this study, the method used by the author is a quantitative analysis method. The types of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data was collected through interviews, observation and questionnaires distributed to employees. The population amounted to 132 employees and sample in the study amounted to 99 employees. This study uses a random sampling technique. In random sampling technique, every person in the company has the equal chance of getting selected to be part of the sample. The scale used to measure variables is the Likert scale. The coefficient of determination which can be seen from the results of the R square of 0.342is that the employee performance of 34.2% can be explained by career development and the remaining 65.8% can be explained by other variables outside of this research. The results of the partial test showed that if significant value is 0.000<0.05, then Career Development has influence on Employee Performance at PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan. The conclusion in this study is that Career Development has influence on Employee Performance at PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan./Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan. Dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh Pengembangan Karir terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan teori Pengembangan Karir dan Kinerja Karyawan. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan penulis adalah metode analisis kuantitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada karyawan. Populasi berjumlah 132 karyawan dan sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 99 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan random sampling technique. Dalam teknik random sampling, setiap orang diperusahaan memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk terpilih menjadi bagian dari sample. Skala yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel adalah skala likert. Koefisien determinasi yang terlihat dari hasil R square sebesar 0,342 bahwa kinerj karyawan sebesar 34,2% dijelaskan oleh pengembangan karir dan sisanya 65,8% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Hasil uji parsial dapat dijelaskan bahwa nilai signifikan 0,000 <0,05, maka Pengembangan Karir berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh Pengembangan Karir terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT. Adam Dani Lestari Medan.
