Abstract

Basically, humans always need help from others. Humans will always try to meet their needs and need motivation or encouragement from others to achieve common goals. In this study, motivation is used as an indicator of whether motivation affects the work ethic of employees in a company. The object tested in this study is PT RADIO KARDOPA GROUP which is located on Jalan Iskandar Muda Medan. the company itself is also a family business company that has been running for decades. In this study, the research method used by the researcher is the Quantitative Descriptive Research Method. This study also uses primary and secondary data. The data obtained in this study were obtained through distributing questionnaires and interviews with HRM from PT Kardopa Group itself. The population obtained is 74 people and the sample is 43 people. The result of the Coefficient of Determination states that motivation is very influential on the work ethic of employees by 67.7% and the remaining 32.3% is influenced by other factors outside of motivation. Through the results of the research instrument, the research conducted has been tested and is valid because the validity of the sig value is > (0.031) and the reliability sig value is > (0.786)./Pada dasarnya manusia selalu membutuhkan bantuan orang lain. Manusia akan selalu berusaha untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya dan membutuhkan motivasi atau dorongan dari orang lain untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Dalam penelitian ini, motivasi digunakan sebagai indikator apakah motivasi mempengaruhi etos kerja karyawan di suatu perusahaan. Objek yang diuji dalam penelitian ini adalah PT RADIO KARDOPA GROUP yang berlokasi di Jalan Iskandar Muda Medan. perusahaan itu sendiri juga merupakan perusahaan bisnis keluarga yang telah berjalan selama beberapa dekade. Dalam penelitian ini, metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah Metode Penelitian Deskriptif Kuantitatif. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara dengan HRM dari PT Kardopa Group itu sendiri. Populasi yang diperoleh sebanyak 74 orang dan sampel sebanyak 43 orang. Hasil Koefisien Determinasi menyatakan bahwa motivasi sangat berpengaruh terhadap etos kerja karyawan sebesar 67,7% dan sisanya 32,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar motivasi. melalui hasil instrumen penelitian maka penelitian yang dilakukan telah teruji dan valid karena nilai validitas sig > (0,031) dan nilai reliabilitas sig > (0,786).
