Abstract

There are many factors that can determine firm value, including company size, leverage and profitability. Company size is considered capable of influencing firm value. Because the larger the size or scale of the company, the easier it will be for the company to obtain funding sources, both internal and external. Another factor that can affect firm value is leverage. Sources of funding within the company can be obtained from internal company in the form of retained earnings and depreciation and from external companies in the form of debt or issuance of new shares. Leverage shows the ability of a company to meet all financial obligations of the company if the company is liquidated. The greater the leverage, the bigger the investment risk. This research is conducted by using quantitative research design. The samples used in this study are 8 (eight) food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In this research, the writer is using library research as the data collection method by collecting all the information used as a source of data in research related to the variable of company size, leverage, and company value. Based on the data analysis and discussion, the research conclusion shows that: (1) company size do have significance influence towards company value; (2) Leverage does not have significance influence towards company value; (3) Company size and leverage simultaneously do not have significance influence toward company value. / Ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan, misalnya ukuran perusahaan, hutang, dan profitabilitas. Ukuran perusahaan diyakini mampu mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan. Hal ini dikarenakan semakin besar ukuran perusahaan, maka semakin gampang perusahaan tersebut untuk mencari sumber pendanaan, baik dari dalam maupun luar perusahaan. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi nilai perusahaan adalah hutang. Sumber pendanaan dalam suatu perusahaan dapat diperoleh dari internal perusahaan dalam bentuk laba ditahan dan depresiasi dan dari eksternal perusahaan dalam bentuk hutang atau penerbitan saham baru. Hutang menunjukkan kemampuan perusahaan untuk memenuhi semua kewajiban keuangan perusahaan jika perusahaan dilikuidasi. Semakin besar hutang, maka semakin besar pula risiko investasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 8 (delapan) perusahaan makanan dan minuman yang terdapat di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan studi pustaka sebagai metode pengumpulan data dengan mengumpulkan semua informasi dari sumber data penelitian yang berhubungan dengan ukuran perusahaan, hutang, dan nilai perusahaan. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan, kesimpulan penelitian adalah: (1) Ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan; (2) Hutang tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan; (3) Ukuran perusahaan dan hutang tidak memiliki pengaruh siginifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan.
