Abstract

Employee training is quite important to do, where this effect the level of productivity and performance of the company. There are employees at PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1 who do not run the Operational Procedure System properly and that effected the employee performance. This research aims to determine the effect of training on employee performance at PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1. By keeping abreast of developments and growth, which is marked by greater diversification of the workforce, forms of organization and increasing global competition, training and development efforts allow employees to expand their responsibilities and overall performance. This research used qualitative research. The writer used descriptive and causal research. The research object are the employees of PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1. Data collection methods used in this study are interview and observation for primary data and relevant journals, past researchers, books, literatures, and other data resources for secondary data. From the Produced Target Percentage Production of Eggs data and Training Program Schedule data, it can be said that training does have effect on employee performance at PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1. Lack of employee performance in PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1 is cause by lack of knowledge, experience and unknowing of updated information and SOP that is provided in training especially for the new recruited employees that resulted in the decrease in the Product Target Production Percentage in December of 2019 and 2020. The recommendation for the company is the company must improve the training by improving the instuctors, training method, having a spesific purpose on training, and timing management for the training programs. So, the employee performance will more likely to increase. / Pelatihan bagi karyawan merupakan hal yang cukup penting untuk dilakukan, dimana hal ini mempengaruhi tingkat produktivitas dan kinerja itu sendiri serta perusahaan tempat para karyawan tersebut. Adanya pegawai yang tidak menjalankan Sistem Prosedur Operasional dengan baik sehingga mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1. Dengan mengikuti perkembangan dan pertumbuhan, yang ditandai dengan diversifikasi tenaga kerja yang lebih besar, bentuk organisasi dan peningkatan persaingan global, upaya pelatihan dan pengembangan memungkinkan karyawan untuk memperluas tanggung jawab dan kinerja mereka secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Penulis menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dan kausal. Objek penelitian adalah karyawan PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi untuk data primer dan jurnal terkait, peneliti terdahulu, buku, literatur, dan sumber data lain untuk data sekunder. Dari data Persentase Target Produksi Produksi Telur dan data Jadwal Program Pelatihan dapat dikatakan bahwa pelatihan memang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Charoen Phokpand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1. Kurangnya kinerja karyawan di PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit Medan-1 disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan, pengalaman dan ketidaktahuan akan update informasi dan SOP yang diberikan dalam pelatihan khususnya bagi karyawan baru yang direkrut sehingga mengakibatkan turunnya Target Produk Produksi Persentase pada Bulan Desember tahun 2019 dan 2020. Rekomendasi bagi perusahaan adalah perusahaan harus meningkatkan pelatihan dengan memperbaiki tenaga pengajar, metode pelatihan, memiliki tujuan khusus tentang pelatihan, dan pengaturan waktu pelaksanaan program pelatihan. Sehingga kinerja karyawan akan meningkat.
