Abstract

The competence of a teacher can be seen from his desire to continue to learn and improve him or herself in developing a qualified learning process. Students need to be encouraged to develop academic and non-academic abilities. Academic refers to learning achievement, while non-academic refers to students' competencies and attitudes, such as creativity. Researcher is interested in the method of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This method has been developed for quite a long time in the Netherlands, where research revealed that this method is able to make students more active, creative and of course learning achievement is maintained. Data collection has been done by giving a test and questionnaire to all the grades one and two students in SPH Lippo Cikarang. Quasi experiment was used as the method of data analysis to compare two different groups in different time frames, in this case the pre-test and post-test. Group A was given RME while group B was not given any different method. From this research we will find whether there is influence of RME on learning achievement and creativity variables. The research showed that there is an effect of RME on learning achievement in grade 1, but there is no effect in grade 2. While RME also proved to have an effect on the creativity of grade 2 students, but it did not show any effect in grade 1. / Kompetensi seorang guru dapat dilihat dari keinginannya untuk terus belajar dan terus memperbaiki diri dalam mengembangkan proses pembelajaran yang berkualitas. Murid perlu didorong untuk mengembangkan kemampuan akademis maupun non akademis. Akademis merujuk pada prestasi belajar, sedangkan non akademis merujuk pada kompetensi maupun sikap siswa, seperti kreativitas. Peneliti tertarik dengan metode Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR). Metode pembelajaran ini sudah dikembangkan cukup lama di negeri Belanda, dimana penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa metode PMR ini mampu membuat siswa menjadi lebih aktif, kreatif dan tentunya prestasi belajar pun terjaga. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan test dan angket kepada responden dalam hal ini semua siswa kelas satu dan dua SPH Lippo Cikarang. Metode analisis data menggunakan eksperimen quasi experiment untuk membandingkan dua grup yang berbeda dalam kurung waktu yang berbeda dalam hal ini pre-test dan post-test. Grup A akan diberikan perlakuan PMR sedangkan grup B tidak diberikan perlakuan khusus. Pada penelitian ini akan dilihat ada tidaknya pengaruh metode Pengajaran Matematika Realisitik (PMR) terhadap variabel prestasi belajar dan kreativitas. Dari hasil oenelitian dapat dibuktikan ada pengaruh PMR terhadap prestasi belajar kelas 1 SD, namun tidak terdapat pengaruh terhadap kelas 2 SD. Sedangkan PMR juga terbukti membawa pengaruh terhadap kreativitas siswa kelas 2 SD, namun tidak membawa pengaruh terhadap siswa kelas 1 SD.
