Abstract

The era of globalization of innovations is expanding rapidly. Many emerging companies cause the competition in the business world to become tighter and more complex. Especially in Indonesia, the economic condition has not been stable enough, thus it makes many companies go through difficulties to sustain continuity. Based on this, the company must persistently develop multifarious business strategies. In general, the ultimate goal of a company is to earn the maximum profit. This research aims to determine the effect of working capital management, firm sizes, and sales growth on the profitability of property & real estate companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data source in this research used is secondary data taken from IDX’s official website. The methods used are classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression using the SPSS program in processing the data. The population is property & real estate companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2015 – 2019. The sampling technique uses the purposive sampling method. The total samples that will be applied are 21 companies with a total of five years period with the amount of 105 samples. Based on the results of research and analysis by using SPSS 25 indicate that: Working capital management has a positive but no significant effect on profitability. Firm size has a negative and no significant effect on profitability. Meanwhile, the sales growth has a positive significant effect on profitability/Era globalisasi inovasi berkembang pesat. Banyak perusahaan berkembang menyebabkan persaingan di dunia bisnis menjadi lebih ketat dan lebih kompleks. Terlebih lagi di Indonesia, kondisi perekonomian Indonesia dapat dikatakan belum cukup stabil sehingga membuat banyak perusahaan mengalami kesulitan dalam mempertahankan kelangsungan perusahaan. Berdasarkan hal ini, perusahaan harus gigih untuk mengembangkan strategi bisnis. Secara umum, tujuan utama dari sebuah perusahaan adalah untuk mendapatkan keuntungan maksimum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh managemen modal kerja, ukuran perusahaan dan pertumbuhan penjualan terhadap profitabilitas dalam perusahaan properti dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diambil dari web resmi BEI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji asumsi klasik dan regresi linear berganda dengan mengunakan program SPSS dalam pengolahan datanya. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan properti dan real estate yang terdaftar dalam Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2015-2019. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 21 perusahaan dengan jangka waktu lima tahun berjumlah 105 sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis dengan menggunakan SPSS 25 menunjukkan bahwa: managemen modal kerja memiliki hubungan positif tetapi tidak memiliki efek yang signifikan terhadap profitabiitas. Ukuran perusahaan memiliki hubungan negatif dan tidak memiliki efek yang signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Sedangkan pertumbuhan penjualan memiliki efek signifikan yang positif terhadap profitabilitas.
