Abstract

In Indonesia , insurance has become an important basic expenses that need to be covered. It can cover the basic medical expenses of their family, household staff and drivers. Thus , insurance industry in Indonesia have increasing for the past few years , and because of the high competition insurance industry in Indonesia , one company need to have the services , basic needs , and the competence for the customers. As one of the well-known insurance industry in Indonesia , PT. Avrist Assurance need to keep increasing their market strategy and services. As one of the reason for increasing , a leader is very important when it comes to company’s growth , a leader isn’t only responsible in increasing the sales number, but a leader is also responsible when it comes to team performance. As this research paper , it will be using leadership styles as its independent variable , and there are 4 indicators that are directive leadership , supportive leadership , participative leadership and achievement-oriented leadership. On the other hand, the dependent variable is company’s growth and there are 3 indicators which are assets growth , sales growth , and firm size. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the leadership styles in PT. Avrist Assurance Medan and also to discover whether leadership styles have impact toward company’s growth at PT. Avrist Assurance Medan. The result of this research is concluded that leadership styles does have impact towards company’s growth at PT. Avrist Assurance Medan. Furthermore , the hypothesis test is also concluded that leadership styles has influence on company’s growth at PT. Avrist Assurance Medan./Di Indonesia , asuransi telah menjadi sebuah kebutuhan dasar yang perlu di penuhi oleh seluruh bangsa Indonesia. Asuransi inilah yang akan membantu mereka dalam menutupi biaya rumah sakit keluarga , pembantu dan juga supir rumah. Jadi , perusahaan asuransi di Indonesia sangat berkembang pesat dalam beberapa tahun belakangan ini , dan dikarenakan tingginya persaingan diantara perusahaan asuransi yang ada di Indonesia , perusahaan asuransi tersebut harus memiliki servis yang bagus , kebutuhan dasar , dan kemampuan untuk para pelanggan. Sebagai salah satu asuransi yang dikenal di Indonesia , PT. Avrist Assurance harus tetap meningkatkan strategi pasar mereka dan juga layanan mereka. Sebagai salah satu alasan dalam meningkatkan layanan , seorang pemimpin sangat penting terhadap pertumbuhan perusahaan , seorang pemimpin bukan hanya meningkatkan angka penjualan , tapi seorang pemimpin juga bertanggung jawab untuk meningkatkan kinerja tim. Untuk makalah penelitian ini , kami akan menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan untuk menjadi independen variabel yang memiliki 4 indikator yaitu kepemimpinan yang direktif , kepemimpinan yang mendukung , kepemimpinan yang partisipatif dan kepemimpinan yang berorientasi pada prestasi. Di samping itu , dependen variabel adalah pertumbuhan perusahaan yang memiliki 3 indikator yaitu pertumbuhan aset , pertumbuhan penjualan dan ukuran perusahaan. Tujuan dalam makalah penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi gaya kepemimpinan di PT. Avrist Assurance Medan dan untuk mengetahui apakah gaya kepemimpinan ada berdampak pada pertumbuhan perusahaan di PT. Avrist Assurance Medan. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan memiliki dampak kepada pertumbuhan perusahaan di PT. Avrist Assurance Medan dan untuk tes hipotesa juga disimpulkan memiliki efek pada PT. Avrist Assurance Medan.
