Abstract

As a sector that covers organic and non-organic products with chemical process and product making with the aim of the final product is rising the domestic and international commerce as to support the growth of manufacture, agriculture, infrastructure, and real estate sector. The population of this research is basic and chemical industries listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from the period of 2016-2019. The purposive sampling method is used and obtains eight companies with a total research sample is 86 in 4 period years. The data used is the annual financial statement from basic and chemical industries listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. On the contrary, this research also uses multiple linear regression and the descriptive statistic processed by SPSS 25. The result of this research shows that total asset turnover has a significant impact on return on asset variable, debt to equity ratio has not significant impact on the return on asset, current ratio has not significant impact on the return on asset. But total asset turnover, debt to equity ratio, current ratio are simultaneously affecting the return on asset on basic industry and chemical companies on Indonesia Stock Exchange./Sebagai sektor yang mencakup produk organik dan non-organik dengan proses kimia dan pembuatan produk dengan akhir tujuan produk adalah meningkatkan perdagangan domestik dan internasional untuk mendukung pertumbuhan sektor manufaktur, pertanian, infrastruktur dan real estate. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan industri dasar dan kimia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2016-2019. Metode purposive sampling digunakan dan diperolehlah delapan perusahaan dari total jumlah sampel penelitian 86 dalam 4 periode tahun. Data yang digunakan adalah laporan keuangan tahunan dari perusahaan industri dasar dan kimia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Bahkan, penelitian ini juga menggunakan regresi linier berganda dan statistik deskriptif yang diolah dengan SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perputaran total aset berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel return on asset, rasio utang terhadap ekuitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return on asset, rasio lancar tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return on asset. Akan tetapi perputaran total aset, rasio utang terhadap ekuitas, dan rasio lancar secara simultan mempengaruhi return on asset pada perusahaan industri dasar dan kimia di Bursa Efek Indonesia.
