Abstract

The hospital formulary is a guideline for doctors to prescribe drugs to patients rationally, which has been agreed upon by medical staff and refers to the national formulary that has been established by KFT. The benefits of the formulary are for quality control and to improve patient health services. Drug prescribing that is not in accordance with the hospital formulary can result in a decrease in hospital services and inefficient drug procurement costs. ISPA is one of the main health problems in Indonesia. There is no research that examines the evaluation of drug prescribing to hospital formularies with a diagnosis of ISPA at the children's polyclinic at the "X" hospital in the city of Bogor in 2020. The minimum standard for each type of health service is 100%. This study aims to determine the percentage of conformity of ARI drug prescriptions to the hospital formulary. This research is a non-experimental research, which is descriptive and taken retrospectively. The method taken in the study was the total sample, namely all ISPA electronic prescription sheets at the outpatient pediatric polyclinic in 2020. Conformity was calculated from the results of the percentage of the number of ARI drugs that matched the hospital formulary. The results showed that the presentation of the suitability of drug prescriptions to the hospital formulary was 81.36% and those that were not in accordance with the hospital formulary were 18.64%.
