Abstract

Latar Belakang : Sejak merebaknya Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19), segala kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan kerumunan massa dihentikan sementara sesuai dengan rekomendasi WHO dalam usaha pencegahan penyebaran lebih lanjut. Di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini, seluruh instansi pendidikan diharuskan melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar di rumah dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran dalam jaringan (daring). Pembelajaran daring sering dituntut untuk lebih termotivasi karena lingkungan belajar biasanya bergantung pada motivasi dan karakteristik terkait dari rasa ingin tahu dan pengaturan diri untuk melibatkan pada proses pembelajaran. Beberapa penelitian membuktikan bahwa wanita, usia lebih tua, dan mahasiswa yang lebih berpendidikan lebih baik dalam berkonsentrasi. Selain itu, lingkugan belajar juga dapat mempengaruhi konsentrasi mahasiswa. Lingkungan belajar yang kondusif akan meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar mahasiswa. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara faktor sosiodemografis mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan tingkat konsentrasi selama pembelajaran daring. Metodologi : Penelitian ini menggunakan studi analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Pengambilan data dilakukan melaui pengisian kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 200 mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Hasil analisis data menggunakan tes Chi- square dengan program SPSS 23. Hasil : 74 mahasiswa berusia < 20 tahun dan 126 mahasiswa berusia ≤ 20 tahun; 76 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 124 mahasiswa perempuan; 135 mahasiswa tinggal di wilayah Jabodetabek dan 65 mahasiswa tinggal di luar Jabodetabek; 173 mahasiswa yang tinggal bersama orang tua atau saudara dan 27 mahasiswa yang tinggal sendiri; dan 143 mahasiswa yang memiliki konsentrasi sedang hingga tinggi dan 57 mahasiswa yang memiliki konsentrasi rendah. Kesimpulan : Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor sosiodemografis dengan tingkat konsentrasi mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan selama pembelajaran daring. / Background : Since the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19),every activity relates to the crowds are restricted based on the WHO recommendation on preventing the continuous spread. In this Covid-19 pandemic era, all educational institutions must do the teaching and learning activities at home, using the online learning method. Online learning often requires its applicators to be more motivated, mainly because the learning environment usually depends on the motivation and the characteristics of curiosity and self-regulation to involve in a learning process. Some researches prove that women, older age, and well-educated students are better at concentrating. Furthermore, learning environment also affects the student’s concentration. Conducive learning environment will improve student’s concentration. Aim : This study aims for understanding the relationship between the sociodemographic factors of Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan students with the concentration rate in online learning era. Method : This study is an analytical study with a cross-sectional study design. Data will be collected from 200 students of Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan through questionnaire. Data will be analyzed by Chi-square test using SPSS 23. Results : 74 students < 20 years old and 126 students ≤ 20 years old; 76 male students and 124 female students; 135 students live in Jabodetabek area and 65 students live outside of Jabodetabek area; 173 students who live with parents or relatives and 27 students who lives alone; and 143 students with moderate to high concentration rate and 57 students with low concentration rate. Conclusion : No significant relationship between the sociodemographic factors and the concentration rate of the students from Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan in online learning era.
