Abstract
Keaktifan siswa merupakan kunci utama dalam mencapai suatu tujuan pembelajaran. Kondisi pandemi Covid-19 yang berdampak pada pembelajaran daring mengakibatkan terbatasnya interaksi antara guru dan siswa, sehingga masalah yang sering muncul adalah rendahnya keaktifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang sama juga ditemukan ketika mahasiswa guru melakukan observasi terhadap siswa di kelas VII dan IX SMP pada salah satu sekolah Kristen di Lampung. Hal ini melatarbelakangi mahasiswa guru dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis penemuan sebagai upaya dalam membangun keaktifan siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis penemuan dapat membangun keaktifan siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu serta memberikan penjelasan tentang langkah-langkah penggunaannya. Penulisan dilakukan dengan mengkaji lima jenis fokus kajian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengkajian melalui studi literatur yang relevan. Guru Kristen perlu menuntun siswa kepada pemulihan gambar dan rupa Allah sebagai makhluk yang aktif dalam menggunakan akal, budi, serta potensi yang Allah berikan dengan berlandaskan pada etika Kristen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis penemuan berhasil dalam membangun keaktifan siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu. Model pembelajaran berbasis penemuan perlu digunakan secara konsisten agar guru dapat mengevaluasi keefektifan penggunaannya dalam membangun keaktifan siswa. / Student activeness is the main key in achieving learning. The Covid-19 pandemic condition that has an impact on bold learning have resulted in limited interaction between teachers and students, so that the problem that often arises is the low activity of students during the learning process. The same problem was also found when student teachers observed students in grades VII and IX of junior high school at a Christian school in Lampung. This is the background of teachers in using discovery learning models as an effort to build student activity in Integrated Social Studies subjects. The purpose of this paper is to find out the use of discovery learning models can build student activeness in Integrated Social Studies subjects and provide an explanation of the steps for using them. The writing is done by reviewing the five focuses of the study using a qualitative descriptive method with an assessment through the study of the relevant literature. Christian teachers need to guide students to restore the image and likeness of God as creatures who are active in using reason, mind, and the potential that God has given based on Christian ethics. The results showed the use of the discovery learning model was successful in building student activeness in Integrated Social Studies subjects. The discovery learning model needs to be used consistently so that teachers can develop the effectiveness of its use in building student activeness.
