Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh siklus hidup perusahaan terhadap pengambilan risiko dan kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini memakai semua perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia kecuali perusahaan industry keuangan pada periode 2007 sampai 2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling purposive. Kemudian sampel digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3.315 observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan Analisa regresi linear berganda yang memperlihatkan bahwa perusahaan mengambil resiko yang lebih tinggi saat ada fase introduction dan decline dibandingkan fase growth, shakeout dan mature. Sementara, pengambilan resiko pada siklus hidup introduction dan decline tidak memiliki pengaruh negatif pada kinerja perusahaan di dalam penelitian ini. Kemudian pengambilan resiko pada siklus hidup growth tidak berpengaruh pada kinerja perusahaan sedangkan untuk tahap mature memiliki pengaruh positif pada kinerja perusahaan / This study aims to determine the effect of the company's life cycle on risk taking and company performance. This study uses all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange except financial industry companies in the period 2007 to 2020. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. Then the sample used in this study found 3,315 observations. The results of this study use multiple linear regression analysis which thinks that the company takes a higher risk during the introduction and decline phases compared to the growth, shock and maturity phases. While risk taking on the life cycle of introduction and decline does not have a negative effect on the company's performance in this study. Then risk taking in the growth cycle has no effect on the company's performance while for the mature stage it has a positive influence on company performance.
