Abstract

Tujuan dilakukan nya penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitabilitas dan leverage terhadap kebijakan dividen. Pengukuran variabel independen profitabilitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan rasio return on equity dan net profit margin, pengukuran variabel independen leverage dilakukan dengan menggunakan debt to equity ratio, dan pengukuran variabel dependen kebijakan dividen dilakukan dengan menggunakan dividend payout ratio. Metode penelitian yang diaplikasikan di dalam penelitian ini yakni penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui S&P Capital platform pada perusahaan consumer goods yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2015 – 2019. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, yang dimana jumlah sampel yang didapatkan adalah 24 perusahaan. Teknik analisa data yang diaplikasikan di dalam penelitian ini yakni dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda yang diolah menggunakan SPSS Statistics versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa profitabilitas memengaruhi secara positif dan signifikan kebijakan dividen, sedangkan leverage memengaruhi secara negatif dan signifikan terhadap kebijakan dividen. / This research aimed to determine the effect of profitability and leverage on dividend policy. Profitability was measured by Return on Equity and Net Profit Margin, Leverage was measured by Debt to Equity Ratio, and Dividend Policy was measured on Dividend Payout Ratio. The research was quantitative. This study used secondary data obtained through the S&P Capital platform on consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015 – 2019 period. The data collection technique used purposive sampling, where the total samples obtained are 24 companies. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis which is processed using SPSS Statistics version 26. The research result concluded that profitability had a positive and significant effect on dividend policy, while leverage had a negative and significant effect on dividend policy.
