Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemilikan saham asing terhadap nilai perusahaan dan melakukan uji beda rata-rata pada kepemilikan kas dan dividen berdasarkan kepemilikan asing tinggi dan rendah. Data diperoleh dari Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) yang kemudian diambil datanya melalui S&P Capital IQ dan diolah menggunakan software Stata. Dalam pengukuran nilai perusahaan, peneliti menggunakan market value. Untuk mengukur kepemilikan institusi asing, peneliti menggunakan kepemilikan saham asing dibagi dengan kepemilikan saham total perusahaan. Pengukuran kepemilikan kas menggunakan kas dan setara kas. Dan pengukuran untuk dividen menggunakan pembayaran dividen perusahaan. Peneliti menggunakan 3,180 sampel data. Hasil dari penelitian adalah (a) kepemilikan saham asing berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. (b) ada perbedaan antara kepemilikan asing tinggi dan rendah pada kepemilikan kas (c) tidak ada perbedaan antara kepemilikan asing tinggi dan rendah pada dividen./ This study aims to determine the effect of foreign share ownership on firm value and to test the average difference in cash and dividend holdings based on high and low foreign ownership. Data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) which was then retrieved through S&P Capital IQ and processed using Stata software. In measuring firm value, the researcher uses market value. To measure the ownership of foreign institutions, the researcher uses foreign share ownership divided by the total share ownership of the company. The measurement of cash holdings uses cash and cash equivalents. And the measurement of dividends using the company's dividend payments. Researchers used 3,180 data samples. The results of the study are (a) foreign ownership has a negative and significant effect on firm value. (b) there is an average difference between high and low foreign ownership in cash holdings (c) there is no average difference between high and low foreign ownership in dividends.
