Abstract

Laporan ini membahas peran Lazada sebagai sebuah e-commerce di ranah perdagangan internasional. Pada dasarnya e-commerce memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan perdagangan internasional, terutama di jaman yang semakin moderen ini. E-commerce mendorong adanya transaksi jual-beli di dalam negeri serta antar negara sehingga berdampak pada ekspor dan impor negara tersebut. Lazada sebagai sebuah e-commerce terbesar di Asia Tenggara berperan penting dalam mendorong perdagangan internasional di wilayah Asia Tenggara. Lazada yang beroperasi di 5 negara yaitu Indonesia, Singapura, Malaysia, Filipina, Thailand, dan Vietnam berhasil mengembangkan pasar Asia Tenggara. Lazada memiliki lebih dari 30 kategori barang yang tersedia di platformnya seperti pakaian, peralatan rumah tangga, elektronik, produk kecantikan dan kesehatan, barang-barang bayi, dan lain- lain. Hal-hal seperti produk yang beragam, pasar yang luas, dan promo menarik membuat Lazada semakin berkembang dan ramai dikunjungi pembeli maupun penjual. Lazada menyediakan berbagai penawaran untuk penjual termasuk kesempatan ekspor ke negara-negara Asia Tenggara lainnya dan China, dimana ini merupakan kesempatan yang baik untuk bisnis-bisnis lokal dalam mengembangkan usahanya ke pasar yang lebih luas. Dalam penulisan laporan magang ini, penulis menggunakan teori liberalisme yang menekankan pada kebebasan. Kebebasan dalam teori liberalisme ini termasuk dalam kebebasan warga negara dalam mengelola dan menjalankan usahanya serta kebebasan dalam melakukan perdagangan. / This report discusses Lazada's role as an e-commerce in the realm of international trade. In its very essence, e-commerce has an important role in developing international trade, especially in this increasingly modern era. E-commerce encourages both buying and selling transactions within the country as well as between countries, thus impacting the rate of a country's exports and imports. Lazada as one of the largest e-commerce in Southeast Asia plays an important role in encouraging international trade within the Southeast Asian region. Lazada operates in 5 countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, and has succeeded in developing the Southeast Asian market. Lazada has more than 30 categories of goods available on its platform such as clothing, home appliances, electronics, beauty, health and baby products, as well as many others. The variety of products offered, alongside the wide market, and attractive promos allows Lazada to rapidly grow as it continues to attract both buyers and sellers. Lazada provides a variety of offers for sellers including export opportunities to other Southeast Asian countries and China, which is a good chance for local businesses to expand to a wider market. In writing this internship report, the author uses the theory of liberalism which emphasizes on freedom. The freedom referred to in this theory refers to the freedom of citizens to manage and run their business as well as freedom to trade.
