Abstract

Latar Belakang: Setiap tahun jumlah penyakit stroke di Indonesia semakin meningkat, dapat dilihat dari data Riskesdas, angka 8,3‰ pada tahun 2007 menjadi 12,1‰ pada tahun 2013.1 Stroke memiliki banyak faktor risiko, namun menurut American Heart Association (AHA) faktor risiko utama stroke adalah hipertensi.2 Berdasarkan Riskesdas pada tahun 2013 prevalensi hipertensi di Indonesia sebesar 25,8%.1 Agar jumlah penyakit stroke tidak semakin meningkat, diperlukan pengetahuan yang cukup untuk mencegahnya. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengetahuan mengenai penyakit stroke pada pasien hipertensi, yang merupakan faktor risiko paling tinggi dari penyakit stroke, dengan orang normal. Metodologi Penelitian: Desain penelitian ini berupa studi observasional dengan desain studi potong lintang. Penelitian akan dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Karawaci pada Januari – April 2019 dengan populasi penelitian adalah pasien hipertensi dan orang normal. Berdasarkan perhitungan sampel, jumlah miniman sampel adalah 28 sampel. Pengetahuan tentang stroke diukur dengan kuesioner pengetahuan tentang stroke.3 Analisa data meggunakan software SPSS versi 24.0, dan uji statistik menggunakan Chi-square. Hasil: Pasien hipertensi lebih banyak yang memiliki pengetahuan mengenai stroke dengan baik, yaitu sebanyak 18 orang (72%) dibandingkan dengan orang normal yaitu sebanyak 8 orang (32%). Hubungan antara pasien hipertensi dengan tingkat pengetahuan mengenai stroke memiliki p value 0.011 dan odd ration (OR) 5,46. Kesimpulan: Seseorang yang memiliki penyakit hipertensi akan mempengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan mengenai stroke, dimana pengetahuannya mengenai stroke akan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan orang normal / Background: Every year the number of stroke in Indonesia is increasing, it can be seen from the Riskesdas data, 8.3 ‰ in 2007 then increase to 12.1 ‰ in 2013.1 Stroke has many risk factors, however according to the American Heart Association (AHA) the main risk factors for stroke is hypertension.2 Based on Riskesdas in 2013 the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia was 25.8%.1 Sufficient knowledge and awareness about stroke is needed to prevent it. Aim: This study’s purpose is to determine the comparison of knowledge about stroke in hypertensive patients, which is the highest risk factor for stroke, with normal people. Methods: The study design is cross-sectional study. The study will be done in Rumah Sakit Siloam Karawaci, Tangerang from January – April 2018. Population of the study are hypertension patients and normal person. According to sample calculation, minimal sample required is 28. The knowledge level is measured by questionnaire about stroke knowledge3. Data analyzed by software SPSS version 24.0 and statistical test will be done using Chi-square. Result: More hypertensive patients have knowledge about stroke well, with 18 patients (72%) compared to normal people with just 8 peoples (32%). The relationship between hypertensive patients and knowledge about stroke had a p value of 0.011 and odd ration (OR) of 5.46. Conclusion: Someone who has hypertension will affect the level of knowledge about stroke, where his knowledge of stroke will be better than normal people.
