Abstract

Stres kerja merupakan kondisi seorang karyawan yang memiliki ketegangan yang berpengaruh kepada emosi, proses berpikir, dan kondisi seorang karyawan. Stres kerja juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh konflik, sikap pemimpin yang tidak menghargai dan menghormati karyawan, serta dapat menurunkan potensi kinerja karyawan karena pengaruh tekanan yang didapatkan karyawan. Universitas. X memiliki banyak divisi di dalamnya, salah satunya adalah divisi Marketing dan Admisi dimana divisi ini memiliki peranan langsung terhadap orang tua murid dan calon mahasiswa terkait dengan pendaftaran serta diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan lebih luas tentang Universitas. Selain itu divisi Marketing dan Admisi juga memiliki target di setiap tahunnya yang perlu dicapai yang menjadi tantangan dan tekanan tersendiri dalam bekerja, terutama bagian-bagian yang berperan langsung dengan orang tua murid dan calon mahasiswa. Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat tingkat stres kerja karyawan divisi Marketing dan Admisi Universitas. X, terutama terhadap dengan tuntutan target yang sudah diberikan. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan jika tingkat stres kerja divisi Marketing dan Admisi cenderung sedang, hanya sebagian karyawan yang memiliki stres kerja yang rendah dalam pekerjaan. Dalam penelitian ini juga tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan baik stres kerja bagi karyawan Marketing maupun karyawan Admisi./Job stress is a circumstance when employee who have a feelings can affect with emotion, way of thinking, and their conditions. Job stress can be affected by conflict and also leaders who unrespect their employee. This condition can be decreasing employee work potention because the pressure that their get. X University has so many department inside. One of that is Marketing and Admision Department. This department directly involve with student’s parents. On the other hand, Marketing and Admission Department also has a target each year. This target can be a personal struggle for work especially for employee who directly involved with students and their parents. Aim of this research, is to find the stress level for employee at Marketing and Admission Department at X University especially with the target given. Result of this research is the job stress level in Marketing and Admission Department approximately medium. Only few employee who has a low job stress level. The different of job stress level between Marketing Department and Admission Department is not significant.
