Abstract

Penurunan self-directed anger dianjurkan untuk penurunan suicidal ideation terutama pada kalangan mahasiswa emerging adulthood./Deaths due to suicide in emerging adulthood students have increased by 3 times compared to 1950. The issue of suicide in emerging adulthood students is a concern where students are individuals who have a high risk of psychopathology that can trigger suicidal ideation. One of the factors that predict suicidal ideation is self-directed anger. Data were obtained through online questionnaires (N=228) and analyzed by linear regression method. The findings show that the self-directed anger score predicts the suicidal ideation score in emerging adulthood students by 11.3% significantly (F(1,226) = 29,853, p < .001). Reducing self-directed anger is recommended for decreasing suicidal ideation, especially among emerging adulthood students.
