Abstract

Dengan tanggung jawab yang semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya, mahasiswa di tuntut untuk mampu menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan. Ini yang dialami oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang di tuntut untuk mampu menyelesaikan tugas akhirnya sebagai bukti pemahaman yang sudah didapatkan selama bangku perkuliahan. Masalah-masalah yang dihadapi selama menyusun tugas akhir dapat membuat menurunnya motivasi mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan tanggung jawabnya. Belum lagi menghadapi kendala-kendala yang harus dihadapi akibat pandemi COVID-19. Ini dapat berdampak pada tingkat stres yang mahasiswa tingkat akhir alami dan motivasi akademik mereka untuk menyelesaikan tugas akhirnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir di tengah pandemi COVID-19 dengan rentan usia 18 sampai 25 tahun dan penelitian ini melibatkan 155 partisipan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) untuk mengukur tingkat stres dan Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) untuk mengukur motivasi akademik yang sudah diadaptasi ke Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara tingkat stres dengan motivasi akademik, intrinsic, extrinsic motivation, dan amotivation pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di tengah pandemi COVID-19 / With increasing responsibilities every year, students are required to be able to complete the tasks that were given. This is what final year students are experiencing who are required to be able to complete their final projects are evidence of understanding that has been learned during lectures. The problems that they face during preparation of the final project can reduce student motivation to complete their responsibilities. In addition, they also faced obstacles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This can have an impact on final year students’ level of stress and academic motivation to complete their final project. This research was conducted using purposive sampling. The population in this study were final year students who were working on their final project in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic with a range of 18-25 years old. This study involved 155 participants. The measuring instrument used is Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) to measure level of stress and the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) to measure academic motivation which has been adapted to Indonesian. This research found that there is negative relationship between level of stress with intrinsic, extrinsic motivation, and amotivation
