Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 yang muncul sejak Maret 2020 di Indonesia berdampak bagi berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Salah satu sektor yang terdampak adalah sektor pendidikan di mana pembelajaran harus dilakukan secara jarak jauh (PJJ). Seiring berjalannya waktu dan dengan perubahan kondisi yang terjadi, sejak bulan September-Oktober 2021 pembelajaran tatap muka mulai dilakukan kembali dengan sistem campuran (hybrid learning) di mana pembelajaran tatap muka berjalan bersamaan dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Berbagai perubahan yang terjadi menyebabkan guru, khususnya guru SD harus beradaptasi pada kondisi yang ada. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan guru merasa frustasi dan stres yang bila terjadi secara berkepanjangan dapat memicu timbulnya burnout pada guru SD. Sebuah solusi dibutuhkan agar guru dapat beradaptasi dan melakukan coping terhadap situasi yang terjadi, yaitu melalui self-compassion. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh self-compassion terhadap burnout pada guru SD di Yogyakarta selama pandemi COVID-19. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah self-compassion berpengaruh terhadap tingkat burnout pada guru SD di Yogyakarta. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI) dan Skala Welas Diri (SWD). Hasil dari penelitian adalah self-compassion memiliki pengaruh terhadap burnout (r2 = .100, Sig.= .012, p<0.05)/Since March 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic has been affecting many aspects of the society in Indonesia. One of the sectors affected is education, resulting in a condition where school must be done from home (known as Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh or PJJ). As time goes by and with the changes in the pandemic situation, since September-October 2021 students have started to attend offline school once more by implementing the hybrid learning system, where offline classes are carried on parallel to online classes. These drastic changes made the teachers (especially elementary school teachers) need to adapt quickly to the situations. This may cause teachers to feel frustrated and stressed out, and if maintained for a prolonged period will result in a burnout. A solution is needed to help teachers adapt and cope to the situations, and self-compassion may be one of the solutions needed. This research is conducted to know the effects of self-compassion towards burnouts on elementary school teachers in Yogyakarta throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The hypothesis of this research is that self-compassion has an effect towards the level of burnout on elementary school teachers in Yogyakarta. The measuring instrument used is the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI) and Skala Welas Diri (SWD). The result of the research is that self-compassion does has an effect towards burnout (r2 = .100, Sig.= .012, p<0.05).
