Abstract

Abstrak – Sekalipun dalam ikatan pernikahan, tidak menutup kemungkinan terjadinya perselingkuhan di antara suami dan istri. Salah satu dampak dari perselingkuhan dalam hubungan pernikahan adalah turunnya marital satisfaction, dan hal ini dapat membawa hubungan pernikahan berakhir pada perceraian. Namun tentunya, sebagian besar setiap pasangan mengharapkan agar permasalahan tersebut dapat diselesaikan dengan baik dan berakhir dengan damai tanpa perceraian. Agar tercapainya penyelesaian yang diingini, diperlukan kemauan pasangan untuk saling memaafkan satu sama lain atau disebut sebagai forgiveness. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian kali ini adalah melihat pengaruh dari forgiveness terhadap marital satisfaction pada individu dengan pasangan heteroseksual yang berselingkuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Kata Kunci: pemaafan; kepuasan pernikahan; perselingkuhan. Referensi: 51 (1978 - 2021) / Abstract — Even in a marriage bond, it does not rule out the possibility of infidelity between husband and wife. The effect of infidelity in a marital relationship is a decrease in marital satisfaction, and this can lead to divorce. But of course, most couples hope that these problems can be resolved properly and end peacefully without divorce. To achieve the desired settlement, it takes to forgive each other or forgiveness. Therefore, this study aims to see the influence of forgiveness on marital satisfaction in individuals with heterosexual couples who cheated on them.
