Abstract

Pelatihan atau training dalam suatu perusahaan menjadi salah satu hal krusial yang penting bagi karyawan untuk diikuti dengan tujuan meningkatkan peforma dan kemampuan karyawan serta meningkatkan produktivitas di perusahaan. Namun demikian, masih adanya karyawan di Perusahaan X yang tidak mengikuti atau menyelesaikan program training yang disediakan meski sudah diwajibkan. Keterlibatan karyawan dalam mengikuti training tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal, yakni motivasi. Motivasi di definisikan sebagai keadaan seseorang yang mendorong untuk melakukan kegiatan tertentu agar mencapai tujuan individual maupun organisasi. Penelitian terdahulu membuktikan bahwa adanya pengaruh antara motivasi karyawan dengan prestasi kerja. Sehingga tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi karyawan dengan learning hour yang dicapai oleh karyawan di Perusahaan X. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan menggunakan metode pursposive sampling, dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 50 karyawan Perusahaan X yang sudah bekerja minimal 6 bulan dan pernah mengikuti program pembelajaran di Perusahaan X. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang berisikan alat ukur motivasi yang telah diadaptasi dari teori McClelland (1985) yang sudah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan hasil valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menggunakan metode uji chi-square (p value 0.606.) menyimpulkan bahwa tidak adanya hubungan signifikan antara tingkat motivasi dengan learning hours yang diperoleh karyawan di Perusahaan X. / Training is one of the crucial things that’s important for employees to participate for improving employee’s performance and skills, also increase productivity in the company. However, there are still employees in Company X who didn’t attend or complete the provided training program even though it’s mandatory. The employee’s participation in the training is influenced by internal factors, mostly by motivation. Motivation is a the state of a person who encourages to carry out certain activities to achieve individual and organizational goals. Previous research has proven that there’s an influence between employee motivation and work performance so that this study want to see a relationship between motivation and learning hours achieved by employees in Company X. The collected data carried using purposive sampling method, by distributing questionnaires to 50 employees in Company X who worked for at least 6 months and participated in learning program at Company X. The technique of collecting data was using questionnaires containing motivation measurement tool that’s adapted from McClelland's (1985) theory which has been tested for validity and reliability with valid and reliable results. The results of this study using the chi-square test method (pvalue 0.606.) concluded that there are no significant relationship between the level of motivation and learning hours achieved by employees in Company X.
