Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kebijakan dan strategi yang dilakukan Iran dalam menghadapi sanksi ekonomi yang diberikan oleh Amerika Serikat dan Uni Eropa. Secara garis besar akan membahas dari perspektif Negara Iran dalam menanggapi sanksi yang diberikan oleh Amerika dan Uni Eropa. Signifikansi penelitian ini untuk lebih mengetahui instrumen, kepentingan, dan jalan pikir setiap pihak dalam menangani isu sanksi ekonomi ini. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan teori realisme dan konsep kepentingan nasional, perdagangan internasional, dan embargo. Penggunaan teori realisme karena lebih relevan dalam isu Iran ini dimana, negara sebagai aktor utama. Negara memiliki wewenang dan otoritas yang mutlak dalam mengambil suatu kebijakan. Selain itu, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan inti dari penulisan dan pengumpulan data sekunder yang diambil dari berbagai macam sumber. Pada akhir penelitian, akan tergambar bahwa pemberi sanksi yaitu Amerika Serikat dan Uni Eropa juga memiliki kelemahan dan berdampak pada harga minyak dunia. Sedangkan Iran justru mendapatkan keuntungan dari isu ini. / This study discusses the policies and strategies carried out by Iran in the face of economic sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union. In general, we will discuss from the perspective of the State of Iran in response to the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union. The significance of this research is to find out more about the instruments, interests, and ways of thinking of each party in dealing with the issue of economic sanctions. In this study, the author uses the theory of realism and the concepts of national interest, international trade, and embargoes. The use of realism theory is because it is more relevant in this issue of Iran where the state is the main actor. The state has absolute authority and authority in making a policy. In addition, the author uses descriptive qualitative research methods to describe the essence of writing and collecting secondary data taken from various sources. At the end of the study, it will be illustrated that the sanctioners, namely the United States and the European Union, also have weaknesses and have an impact on world oil prices. While Iran actually benefited from this issue.
