Abstract

Autisme adalah suatu gangguan perkembangan pada komunikasi, sosialisasi dan perilaku. Umumnya seseorang yang mengalami autisme akan mengalami perkembangan fisik yang sama seperti anak seusianya sehingga anak autisme perlu diberikan pendidikan seksual. Untuk itulah, diperlukan penelitian untuk menjelaskan “Bagaimana penggunaan social story sebagai komunikasi guru di SLB Putra Kami dalam pembelajaran pendidikan seksual kepada siswa penyandang autisme?” Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi sebagai data primer. Wawancara dilakukan kepada guru SLB Putra Kami. Data sekunder dalam penelitian ini berupa data dari situs website, artikel, jurnal dan buku yang berkaitan dengan topik yang sedang diteliti Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam program pendidikan seksual SLB Putra Kami menggunakan social story sebagai strategi pembelajaran kepada siswa autisme dengan kombinasi komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal yang bertujuan agar anak tahu batasan dengan lawan jenis, berperilaku sesuai dengan tempatnya, memahami perubahan diri sehingga mampu menjaga diri, dan mempersiapkan anak untuk menghadapi pubertas. / Autism is a developmental disorder of communication, socialization and behavior. In general, children with autism will experience the same physical development as their peer age so children with autism need to be given sexual education. For this reason, research is needed to explain “How social stories are applied as the lecturer communication strategy at SLB Putra Kami in providing sexual education learning to students with autism?” This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research methods. Data collection through interviews and observations as primary data. The interview was conducted to SLB Putra Kami lecturer. Secondary data in this research are from websites, articles, journals and books related to the topic being studied. The results showed that sexual education program at SLB Putra Kami uses social stories as a learning method to autism students with a combination of verbal and nonverbal communication that aims children to understand the limits of opposite sex, how to behave accordingly, understand self-changes so they are able to take care of themselves, and prepare them to face puberty.
