Abstract

Perhitungan quantity merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan oleh kontraktor karena mempengaruhi estimasi biaya proyek dan merupakan salah satu faktor penentu kemenangan tender. Oleh karena itu metode perhitungan quantity yang efektif menjadi penting. Penelitian ini membandingkan dua metode perhitungan quantity yaitu menggunakan aplikasi Cubicost TAS dan metode perhitungan manual menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Perhitungan quantity dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pada elemen finishing yaitu dinding precast, lantai keramik, dan suspended ceiling. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan kedua metode tersebut, mengetahui faktor penyebab perbedaan pada kedua metode perhitungan, serta mengetahui kelemahan dan kelebihan dari masing-masing metode. Asumsi perhitungan yang digunakan pada perhitungan manual disamakan dengan ketentuan dari Cubicost TAS. Dengan menggunakan perhitungan manual sebagai dasar pembanding, hasil analisis menunjukkan perbedaan 0,44% pada quantity dinding precast, 0,015% pada quantity lantai keramik tipe HT 600x600x8, -0,252% pada quantity lantai keramik tipe CT 300x300x8, -0,01% pada quantity lantai keramik tipe Mozaik Tile, dan 0,02% pada quantity suspended ceiling. Perbedaan pada kedua metode tersebut disebabkan oleh sistem numerik dan pembulatan pada aplikasi Cubicost. Adapun kelemahan dari aplikasi Cubicost TAS adalah dibutuhkannya biaya investasi untuk lisensi software dan waktu lebih untuk menguasai aplikasi tersebut, serta diperlukannya file AutoCAD dengan layer dan warna yang teratur agar proses identifikasi elemen bisa berlangsung dengan cepat dan efisien. Kelebihannya adalah adanya fitur perhitungan tepi ke tepi dan clash detection secara otomatis, serta waktu perhitungan yang relatif lebih cepat bila aplikasi telah dikuasai. Sedangkan kelemahan dari perhitungan manual adalah proses clash detection tidak dapat dilakukan secara otomatis, serta adanya kemungkinan human error apabila perhitungan dilakukan dalam rentang waktu yang relatif singkat. Adapun kelebihannya adalah asal usul angka hasil perhitungan terpapar dengan jelas / Quantity take-off is one of the most critical factors that affects project cost estimation that needs to be considered by contractors. It is also one of the most crucial factors that affect tender results. Thus, finding an effective quantity take-off method becomes important. This study compares two quantity take-off methods; the first method is by using Cubicost TAS, while the second method is by using the manual calculation method using Microsoft Excel. The quantity take-off calculation in this study is conducted on finishing elements, namely precast wall, ceramic floor, and suspended ceiling. The purpose of this study is to compare the differences of the results between the two methods, to understand the factors affecting the differences between the two methods, and to discover the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods. Assumptions used in the manual calculation are the same as the calculation rules used in Cubicost TAS. By using the manual method as the basis of comparison, the analysis result shows a 0,44% difference for precast wall quantity, 0,035% for HT 600x600x8 ceramic floor, -0,252 for CT 300x300x8 ceramic floor, -0,01% for Mozaik Tile ceramic floor, and 0,02% for suspended ceiling. Differences between the two methods are caused by numerical system and rounding in Cubicost TAS. There are some disadvantages of using Cubicost TAS such as the investment costs for software license, extra time to master the application, and it needs AutoCAD files with well-organized layers and colors for efficient element identification process. The advantages are the automatic edge-to-edge calculation, clash detection feature, and a faster calculation duration once the application is mastered. On the other hand, the disadvantages of the manual calculation are the inability to detect clashes and the possibility of human errors during calculation, mainly when performed in a relatively short time. The advantage of using the conventional method is that the origin of the numbers in the calculation is straightforward and clear.
