Abstract

Perkembangan zaman mendorong sektor konstruksi untuk terus berinovasi dalam segi peralatan maupun material yang digunakan. Teknologi pada material dituntut untuk memiliki banyak keuntungan dalam segi kekuatan. Salah satu keuntungan yang perlu untuk diteliti lebih lanjut untuk aplikasi dalam dunia konstruksi adalah material dengan perilaku auxetic. Auxetic merupakan perilaku material yang memiliki nilai Poisson’s ratio negatif, dimana ketika material mengalami gaya tarik, maka material tidak hanya memanjang searah dengan gaya tetapi juga mengalami perpanjangan pada arah tegak lurus terhadap gaya, demikian pula ketika material mengalami gaya tekan. Material dapat menjadi berperilaku auxetic karena desain mikrostruktur (ukuran dan bentuk geometri dari lubang) pada material. Penelitian ini mengamati material aluminium magnesium berupa pelat tipis berbentuk persegi panjang yang berperilaku auxetic. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis Digital Image Correlation (DIC) dan dua pendekatan untuk hasil pengamatan pelat yaitu pendekatan Green-Lagrangian dan pendekatan Eulerian-Almansi. Analisis DIC pada pelat berperilaku auxetic diolah menggunakan program MATLAB R2020a dengan software 2D extension yaitu Ncorr. Pengukuran dimensi dilakukan pada pelat berperilaku auxetic dan didapatkan nilai Poisson’s ratio pada pelat yaitu sebesar -0,913 yang sesuai dengan teori perilaku auxetic. Hasil regangan terbesar untuk pelat berperilaku auxetic terletak di sekitar lubang pelat dengan regangan normal arah sumbu x bernilai 0,1183 untuk pendekatan Eulerian-Almansi dan 0,2145 untuk pendekatan Green-Lagrangian. Regangan normal arah sumbu y bernilai 0,1317 untuk pendekatan Eulerian-Almansi dan 0,2885 untuk pendekatan Green-Lagrangian. Kemudian, untuk regangan geser didapatkan nilai berkisar antara -0,12 hingga 0,12 untuk pendekatan Eulerian-Almansi dan -0,15 hingga 0,15 untuk pendekatan Green-Lagrangian. Hasil berikut menunjukan bahwa regangan terus meningkat karena pengaruh deformasi pada pelat berperilaku auxetic. Sedangkan untuk laju regangan, nilai akan semakin menurun karena perbandingan antara regangan terhadap waktu. / The development technology in materials is necessary to provide advantages in material usage. Construction materials need to be stronger and more versatile. One of the developments that can be investigated further for applications in the construction is material with auxetic behavior. Auxetic behavior is where material elongate in all direction when experiencing tension and contract in all direction when being compressed. Auxetic behavior is characterized by negative Poission’s ratio and it can develop in material by engineering the size and shape of its structure. The material being observed is a thin rectangular aluminum magnesium plate, with thin rectangular holes that are placed perpendicularly on the plate. This study is to measure the auxetic behavior of said plate an using Digital Image Correlation (DIC) analysis method. The approaches use in observation are the Green-Lagrangian and the Eulerian-Almansi approach. MATLAB R2020a with a 2D software extension, Ncorr, is used to process the DIC analysis. The dimensions of the plate, before and after tension, are measured using Photoshop. From the measurement, it is found that the Poisson's ratio of the aluminum magnesium plate is plate is -0.913, that is in accord with the definition for material with auxetic behavior. The largest strain for the auxetic behavior plate occured around the holes with a normal strain of 0.1183 for the Eulerian-Almansi approach and 0.2145 for the Green-Lagrangian approach in the direction perpendicular to the tension. The normal strain in the direction parallel to the tension is 0.1317 for the Eulerian-Almansi approach and 0.2885 for the Green-Lagrangian approach. As for the shear strain, the values ranged from -0.12 to 0.12 for the Eulerian-Almansi approach and -0.15 to 0.15 for the Green-Lagrangian approach. The above results showed that the strain continue to increase due to the deformation on the plate. For the strain rate, the value will decrease because the ratio of strain to time.
