Abstract

PITOO.COOP adalah sebuah perusahaan start-up berbasis koperasi yang bergerak dalam bidang pengembangan game. Saat ini, PITOO.COOP melihat sebuah peluang untuk mengembangkan platform game berbasis web dengan genre ice breaking yang dapat digunakan untuk edukasi maupun dimainkan secara kasual. Karena itu, PITOO.COOP membutuhkan tim game developer untuk turut mengembangkan platform tersebut. Game yang akan dikembangkan tersebut berjudul “Stadious” yang adalah kata pelesetan dari bahasa Inggris “Studious” yang memiliki arti rajin. Pemagang bersama anggota game developer lainnya ditugaskan untuk mengembangkan game Stadious tersebut dari awal berdasarkan ide yang diberikan oleh PITOO.COOP, di mana pemagang akan memegang peran pengembangan tampilan atau UI/UX. Masalah yang dihadapi dari hal tersebut adalah bagaimana merancang UI dan melakukan penilaian UX dari game tersebut agar dapat memasuki tahap pre-alpha. Untuk mengembangkan UI/UX game Stadious dari awal hingga memasuki tahap pre-alpha, pemagang ditugaskan untuk mengembangkan sebuah prototipe menggunakan Figma sebelum diimplementasikan oleh tim programmer dengan bahasa Flutter. Metodologi yang akan digunakan dalam pengembangan prototipe Stadious adalah Agile Software Development yang menggunakan framework Scrum, dan juga pendekatan Design Thinking. Berbagai teori dalam HCI seperti Eight Golden Rules oleh Shneiderman serta Ten Usability Heuristics for User Interface Design oleh Jakob Nielsen akan mendasari desain dari UI/UX game Stadious. Pada akhir dari pengembangan, akan dilakukan juga sebuah penilaian terhadap UX menggunakan UEQ yang disebar secara online melalui Google Forms. Pengembangan UI/UX untuk game Stadious telah berhasil dikerjakan, di mana pre-alpha telah tercapai dengan selesainya Hi-fi Prototype berbasis Figma. Hasil penilaian UX yang didapatkan dari 30 responden UEQ juga tergolong cukup baik, dengan nilai pada skala yang di atas 0,8 dan tidak di bawah -0,8 berdasarkan 6 skala UEQ attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, dan novelty. Walau begitu, dari data yang diperoleh dan dianalisis secara detail, kategori attractiveness, efficiency, dependability, dan perspicuity masih memiliki nilai yang dapat ditingkatkan lagi. / PITOO.COOP is a cooperation-based start-up company that specializes in the field of game development. At the moment, the company saw an opportunity for the development of a web-based platform for an ice breaking game that can be either be used for education or casual play. For that very reason, PITOO.COOP formed a team of game developers to develop a game based on that platform. The game in question will be called “Stadious” which is a word play from “Studious” that is an adjective for diligent. The intern along with his fellow game developers will be tasked to develop the game from scratch based on the ideas provided by PITOO.COOP, where the intern will be a key person in the development of the interface or UI/UX of the game. A problem that arises from developing from scratch to the pre-alpha stage is what best practice to use for developing and how to evaluate the UX of that UI. To develop the UI/UX of Stadious until the pre-alpha stage, the intern was tasked to develop a prototype using Figma before the implementation done by the programming team with Flutter. The methodology used to develop the prototype will be the Agile Software Development using the Scrum framework, and also the Design Thinking approach. A number of HCI theory is also used, notably Shneiderman’s Eight Golden Rules and Ten Usability Heuristics by Jakob Nielsen as the basis for the UI/UX design of Stadious. At the end of the development, UX testing will also be done by using UEQ that is distributed online through Google Forms. The UI/UX development for the game Stadious has been completed successfully, where the pre-alpha stage was reached with the completion of the Figma-based Hi-fi Prototype. Results of the UX evaluation from the 30 UEQ respondents also showed decent results, with a score above 0,8 and none below -0,8 based on the 6 scales of UEQ which are attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Despite decent results, further analysis of accrued data shows that the categories attractiveness, efficiency, dependability, and perspicuity can still be improved.
