Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau PkM merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan rasa empati terhadap masyarakat dengan menyalurkan ilmu dan keterampilan. Pelatihan yang kami berikan kepada remaja di Panti Asuhan Santo Leo, Padang adalah dalam bentuk workshop untuk melatih dan memberikan ilmu kepada peserta mengenai Choux pastry. Mangkunegara, (2012) Pelatihan adalah sebuah proses mengajarkan pengetahuan dan keahlian tertentu serta sikap agar karyawan semakin terampil dan mampu melaksanakan tanggung jawab dengan semakin baik, sesuai dengan standar. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini merupakan (1) Untuk menyalurkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh mahasiswa melalui mata kuliah dari Fakultas Pariwisata program studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan, Universitas Pelita Harapan, (2) Untuk melakukan pelatihan kepada Remaja Panti Asuhan Santo Leo mengenai Tiga Variasi Choux Buah Tropikal (3) Untuk membangun serta mengembangkan jiwa Entrepreneur kepada remaja Panti Asuhan Santo Leo dengan memberikan pengetahuan mengenai pembuatan bisnis makanan dan minuman secara online. Maka dari itu, tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat menyelenggarakan pelatihan ini dengan mengajarkan kepada para remaja Panti Asuhan Santo Leo mengenai Tiga Varian Choux Buah Tropikal serta memberi pelatihan kepada peserta bagaimana cara membangun wirausaha secara online dalam bidang food and beverage. Harapan dari diadakannya Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dapat berguna bagi remaja dari panti asuhan Santo Leo dan juga dapat diaplikasikan sebagai dasar untuk membuka bisnis pastry./ Community service is an event that is usually carried out by students in order to improve a sense of empathy for the community by sharing comprehension and skills. The training that we provide to children at the Santo Leo Orphanage, Padang is in the form of a workshop that aims to train and provide knowledge to participants about Choux pastry. Mangkunegara, (2012) Training is a method to upskill a certain apprehension and skills and attitudes so that employees are more skilled and would be able to accomplish their obligations better, in accordance to standards. The purposes of this training activities are (1) To share the comprehension and skills obtained by students through studies obtained at the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality Management study program, Pelita Harapan University, (2) To conduct training for the teenagers of the Santo Leo Orphanage regarding Three Variations of Choux Tropical Fruits (3) To build and develop the entrepreneurial spirit in the children of the Santo Leo Orphanage by providing knowledge about making food and beverage businesses online. Therefore, the Community Service team made this training by teaching the children of the Santo Leo Orphanage about the Three Variants of Choux Tropical Fruits and tutoring participants how to create an online entrepreneur in the food and beverage sector. Hopefully, the Community Service activities will be beneficial for the children of the Santo Leo orphanage and can also be applied as a basis for opening a pastry business.
