Abstract

Competition in the business world is increasing every moment, therefore, the company should evaluate every aspect of the company especially in employees' performance because the existing performance measures are perceived to be less effective. If an employee can work effectively, the company will also continue to work effectively. PT Budijaya Makmursentosa is facing a decline in the performance of their employees. The number of tardiness and absences are increasing from time to time. The objective of this research is to prove whether work motivation have influence on employees’ performance. In this research, the writer will use a quantitative research design to answer the research questions formulated and use IBM SPSS Statistics V.25. The writer used descriptive and causal research. The sampling technique used is proportionate sampling. The population will be all of the employee which is 107 employees. The amount of sample taken is calculated using the Slovin formula and the result is 85 employees of PT Budijaya Makmursentosa, Medan. This research also passed the validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and regression analysis. The hypothesis test sig. value is lower than 0.05. It means that Ha is accepted. Therefore, work motivation has a significant influence on employees’ performance at PT Budijaya Makmursentosa. Futhermore, the coefficient of determination R Square is .694, so work motivation have 69.4% influence on employees’ performance. So based on the data, it can be concluded that work motivation has a significant influence on employees’ performance. Therefore, to improve the employees’ performance, the company needs to motivate their employees./Kompetisi di dunia bisnis meningkat setiap saat, Oleh karena itu, perusahaan harus mengevaluasi setiap aspek perusahaan terutama dalam kinerja karyawan karena kinerja yang sekarang semakin kurang efektif. Jika seorang karyawan dapat bekerja secara efektif, perusahaan juga akan terus bekerja dengan efektif. PT Budijaya Makmursentosa mengalami penurunan kinerja karyawan mereka. Jumlah keterlambatan dan absen meningkat dari waktu ke waktu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan apakah motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh pada kinerja karyawan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yang telah dirumuskan dan menggunakan IBM SPSS statistik V 25. Penulis menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dan kausal. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel proposional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan, yaitu 107 karyawan. Jumlah sampel yang diambil dikalkulasi menggunakan rumus Slovin dan hasilnya adalah 85 karyawan PT Budijaya Makmursentosa, Medan. Penelitian ini juga lulus uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, dan analisis regresi. Pada uji hipotesis, nilai sig. lebih rendah dari 0.05. Ini berarti bahwa Ha diterima. Oleh karena itu, motivasi bekerja memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada kinerja karyawan di PT Budijaya Makmursentosa. Selanjutnya, koefisien determinasi R Square .694, jadi motivasi kerja memiliki 69.4% pengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Jadi berdasarkan data, bisa disimpulkan bahwa motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan kinerja karyawan. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan, perusahaan harus memotivasi karyawan mereka.
