Abstract
This research intends to find a way to implement the Electronic Certificate in the Notary Field. The research shall use a normative research method specifically the comparative analysis normative research method, which is an analysis method that compares and contrasts subjects of research. Those subjects are the Electronic Certificate and the Notarial Deed respectively. The results of the analysis shows that the two documents are very different in the sense that the Notarial deed is an Authentic deed due to being made in front of a public official, which is the requirement of making Authentic deeds under the Indonesian Civil Code. It is also supported by the fact that the public official that made the notarial deeds have their own dedicated code of ethics and a Notary Protocol, this heavy procedure is specifically for the fact that Notary deeds are state documents. With that in mind, as we are under this digital era, it is important to consider the adjustment of the notary deed to be used electronically
