Abstract

The purposes of this research study are to find out the condition of communication, to identify how is the job satisfaction condition and to examine the influence of communication and job satisfaction at What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan. The research method used in this research study is the quantitative research study. The population in this study are all the employees of What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan that consist of 55 employees. This research study is using census sampling method. The data analysis method used in this research includes normality test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, simple linear regression test, and determination coefficient test with the support of the IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. Based on the result of the research, it is in the good category for the variable of communication with the grand mean of 3,91. In which the variable of job satisfaction is also in the good category with the grand mean of 3,70. The results of both variables still need to be improved. The result shows that communication has an influence on job satisfaction at What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan with a significance value of t count of 4,757 is greater than t table (2,004). The magnitude of the effect value is indicated by the coefficient of determination of 0,391 or 39,1%, which means communication has an influence of 39,1% on job satisfaction at What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan. The problems indicate that a good relationship does not formed well among the employees and the complaints in teamwork appears quite often in deal with problems which quite interfere in gaining job satisfaction in the family business./Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi komunikasi, mengidentifikasi bagaimana kondisi kepuasan kerja dan untuk menguji pengaruh komunikasi dan kepuasan kerja pada What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan yang berjumlah 55 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji regresi linier sederhana, dan uji koefisien determinasi dengan dukungan IBM SPSS Statistics versi 25. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka di kategori baik untuk variabel komunikasi dengan grand mean sebesar 3,91. Dimana variabel kepuasan kerja juga berada pada kategori baik dengan grand mean sebesar 3,70. Hasil kedua variabel tersebut masih perlu ditingkatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja pada What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan dengan nilai signifikansi t hitung sebesar 4,757 lebih besar dari t tabel (2,004). Besarnya nilai pengaruh ditunjukkan oleh koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,391 atau 39,1% yang berarti komunikasi mempunyai pengaruh sebesar 39,1% terhadap kepuasan kerja pada What The Fun Wedding Organizer Medan. Adanya masalah menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjalinnya hubungan yang baik antar karyawan dan keluhan dalam kerjasama tim cukup sering muncul dalam menghadapi permasalahan yang cukup mengganggu kepuasan kerja dalam bisnis keluarga.
