Abstract

Medan International Convention Centre one of the finest Exhibition Hall in Medan, North Sumatera. In terms of revenue performance from MICC has decreased due to the covid pandemic which has an impact on the company's revenue. The aim of this research to explain about training and motivation towards employee performance at MICC. Effective training and development programs provide people with the expertise and skills required to execute their jobs. Work motivation is one of the numerous elements that determine employee productivity. Quantitative research with descriptive and causal study are used to analyze the sample of 86 employees. The respondents are employees of MICC are taken using probability sampling criteria using saturated sampling. Distribution of the questionnaires conducted has passed the validity and reliability test. The data tested also passed the normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and multiple linear regression test. Based on hypothesis test, t-test and F-test both training and motivation have effect to performance at MICC, either simultaneously or partially. It can be recommended to MICC, replacing the training institution that provides training with the current one, or re-adjusting the existing training materials. To suitable for the job and capable of being an improvement in the training provided by providing compensation based on performance appraisals and giving bonuses to employees who are able to achieve the targeted performance appraisals require employees to cooperate in completing the work that exists at this time/Medan International Convention Center salah satu Exhibition Hall terbaik di Medan, Sumatera Utara. Dari sisi kinerja pendapatan dari MICC mengalami penurunan akibat pandemi covid yang berdampak pada pendapatan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang pelatihan dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di MICC. Program pelatihan dan pengembangan yang efektif menyediakan orang dengan keahlian dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk melaksanakan pekerjaan mereka. Motivasi kerja adalah salah satu dari banyak elemen yang menentukan produktivitas karyawan. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan studi deskriptif dan kausal digunakan untuk menganalisis sampel sebanyak 86 karyawan. Respondennya adalah karyawan MICC yang diambil dengan menggunakan kriteria probability sampling menggunakan sampling jenuh. Penyebaran kuesioner yang dilakukan telah melewati uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Data yang diuji juga lolos uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan uji regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis uji-t dan uji-F baik pelatihan maupun motivasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja di MICC, baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Dapat direkomendasikan kepada MICC, mengganti lembaga pelatihan yang memberikan pelatihan dengan yang sekarang, atau menyesuaikan kembali materi pelatihan yang ada. Agar sesuai dengan pekerjaannya dan mampu menjadi peningkatan dalam pelatihan yang diberikan dengan memberikan kompensasi berdasarkan penilaian kinerja dan pemberian bonus kepada karyawan yang mampu mencapai penilaian kinerja yang ditargetkan menuntut karyawan untuk bekerja sama dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang ada saat ini
