Abstract

Land is a gift from God as well as a natural resource for the nation, because a land can be an asset to improve people’s welfare. In article 1 number 2 of government regulation number 19 of 2021 on the implementation of land acquisition for development in the public interest states that Land acquisition is any activity to provide land by providing appropriate and fair compensation. Principles of compensation are to provide and offer compensation to the rightful parties in the land acquisition process. Profit compensation can cause many problems. In philosophy, the government invites people to make sacrifices through profit compensation. But they still care about people's welfare. The purpose of this research is 1). To provide an understanding of differences in the settlement of land acquisition between compensation and compensation profit. 2). Provide an understanding that settlements with compensatory profits can make a society prosperous. This research uses standardized legal methods through the study of various laws and regulations of the Basic Law of Land Expropriation and the Basic Law of Land. There are many problems that occur in compensation are caused by people who feel they are haven’t benefits, because the land that they sold has a low price and us detrimental to them. Compensation profits are more than compensation benefits, because the government provides many advantages in economic and social aspects. Which makes people’s have no longer to fear for their life continuity if their land is acquisition by the government.
