Abstract

In this modern life, information system has become an essential component to assist human to perform their works. Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) is an education institution that has a division which functions is to evaluate and improve the quality of its education. The division’s name is Lembaga Penjamin dan Pengembangan Mutu Pendidikan (LP2MP). In practice, LP2MP has responsibility to evaluate all the lecturers in UPH, by giving Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) to all classes in every semester. LP2MP uses open source application to collect the SFQs. Next, the result data from SFQ is processed using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. The processed data will produce information which will be given to related parties. Therefore, LP2MP needs an information system to manage the data to support the evaluation process of UPH lecturers. This research focuses on SFQ data management information system by using Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The system is developed using framework Codeigniter and Grocery CRUD by using PHP as the programming language. This system is using UML modeling with class diagram, use case diagram and activity diagram. The result of this research is a web based information system to manage SFQ data collection which can helps LP2MP to conduct evaluation process of all the lecturers in UPH. Finally, the system also helps with the distribution of information from evaluation results to the related parties./ Dalam kehidupan yang serba modern ini, sistem informasi menjadi kebutuhan manusia untuk membantu dalam menyelesaikan proses pekerjaan. UPH memiliki divisi yang berfungsi untuk memperhatikan kualitas dan mutu pendidikan, yaitu divisi Lembaga Penjamin dan Pengembangan Mutu Pendidikan (LP2MP). LP2MP memiliki tugas untuk melakukan evaluasi seluruh pengajar yang ada di UPH, yaitu dengan memberikan Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) ke semua kelas di setiap semester. LP2MP menggunakan aplikasi open source untuk mengumpulkan SFQ. Selanjutnya, data hasil dari SFQ tersebut diolah menggunakan Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word. Data yang diolah akan menghasilkan informasi yang akan diberikan kepada pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan. Oleh sebab itu, LP2MP membutuhkan sistem informasi untuk mengelola data sehingga dapat menunjang proses evaluasi pengajar UPH. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan sistem informasi pengelolaan data SFQ dengan menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD). Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan framework CodeIgniter dan Grocery CRUD dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Sistem ini menggunakan pemodelan UML dengan class diagram, use case diagram dan activity diagram. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem informasi berbasis web untuk mengelola data SFQ yang dapat membantu LP2MP dalam melakukan proses evaluasi seluruh pengajar UPH hingga penyebaran informasi hasil evaluasi kepada pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan.
