Abstract

Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) merupakan komponen penting dalam jalannya suatu perusahaan. Agar perusahaan tersebut bisa terus menghasilkan kinerja SDM yang maksimal, perusahaan perlu memiliki sistem kompensasi yang baik. Restoran IBC sebagai salah satu restoran legendaris di Surabaya telah memiliki ratusan karyawan dan sudah memiliki sistem penggajian yang baik. Namun dibalik sistem penggajian yang baik itu ada permasalahan yang dialami yaitu kurang akuratnya hasil penilaian kinerja. Atas permasalahan ini, peneliti mengusulkan metode penilaian kinerja Behaviorally Anchor Rating Scale (BARS) agar penentuan/kenaikan gaji bisa menjadi lebih akurat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis sistem penggajian, sistem penilaian kinerja, dan menganalisis jabatan dari bagian pramusaji, bagian dapur, dan kasir pada restoran IBC. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sistem penggajian dan sistem penilaian kinerja pada restoran IBC sudah baik, hanya saja akan menjadi lebih baik jika penilaian kinerja secara formal diterapkan lebih sering dilakukan dan menggunakan form penilaian yang lebih sensitif. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menjaga keakuratan hasil penilaian kinerja. Peneliti juga merancangkan form penilaian kinerja dengan metode BARS dan mendapatkan tanggapan positif dari pihak penilai dan pihak yang dinilai. Metode BARS ini dapat digunakan untuk perusahaan sejenis ataupun dibidang jasa lainnya dan menjadi referensi untuk penelitian selanjutnya yang menggunakan metode BARS / Human Resources (HR) are an important component in the company. In order to produce maIBCimum HR performance, the company needs a good payroll system. Restaurant IBC is one of the legendary restaurants in Surabaya. It has hundreds of employees and already had a good payroll system. However, the payroll system results do not accurate yet in assessing performance. Based on this problem, the author proposed a method for evaluating performance by using Behaviorally Anchor Rating Scale (BARS). Through this method, the determination/increase of salary can be measured more accurately. This research used qualitative method by analyzing the payroll system, performance appraisal system, and analyzing the positions of the waitress, kitchen, and cashier of Restaurant IBC. The study results indicate that the payroll system and performance appraisal system in Restaurant IBC are good, but it will be better if performance appraisals are applied more often and use more sensitive assessment forms. This aims to maintain the accuracy of the results of the performance appraisal. The researcher also designed the performance appraisal form using the BARS method and received a positive response from the assessor and the party assessed. This BARS method can be used for similar companies or other service companies, and also a reference for further research studies about BARS method
