Abstract

Nowadays, PT. Matahari Department Store, Tbk (MDS) has many competitors in the fashion retail world. Therefore, MDS requires a strategy to grow and become superior to its existing competitors. The usual thing that retail companies do to attract the attention of people to shop at the place is by promoting. If the promotion attracts people's attention to shop at the store, there will be data to be analyzed to evaluate the promotion being held. Currently, MDS does not have an integrated system that uses actual data to be able to data analysis and assist the decision-making process. These make the data analysis results and the outcome of the decision-making process less optimal. For this reason, this project focuses on the development of applications that support decision-making process for MDS. The system methodology used is Rapid Application Development with System Prototyping method. The modeling used on making this application is UML 2.5 with use case diagram, activity diagram, and class diagram. The data was retrieved using PHP programming language, while data visualization supported by Power BI software. The result of this final project is an application that can visualize near real-time data from people counting sensor, ARUBA Analytics and Location Engine (ALE) sensor, and sales transaction data from Point of Sales (POS). The result of this data visualization can help MDS’ decision-making process in various fields, such as determining the right promotion at the right time, determining the number of effective employees in certain working hours, and maximizing the look of the products (floor display) on the gate most often passed by customers./ Dewasa ini, PT. Matahari Department Store, Tbk (MDS) memiliki banyak kompetitor dalam dunia ritel fashion. MDS memerlukan strategi untuk terus berkembang dan menjadi lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan para kompetitor yang ada. Hal yang biasa dilakukan oleh perusahaan ritel untuk menarik perhatian orang-orang agar berbelanja di tempat tersebut adalah dengan mengadakan promosi. Dengan mengadakan promosi, diharapkan MDS dapat menganalisa data transaksi penjualan dan data jumlah pelanggan setiap harinya. Saat ini, MDS belum memiliki sistem yang terintegrasi dengan menggunakan data yang aktual untuk dapat menganalisa data dan membantu proses pengambilan keputusan. Hal ini membuat hasil dari analisa data dan proses pengambilan keputusan menjadi kurang optimal. Oleh karena itu, pembuatan tugas akhir ini berfokus kepada pengembangan aplikasi yang dapat menunjang proses pengambilan keputusan untuk MDS. Metodologi pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah Rapid Application Development dengan metode system prototyping. Pemodelan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah UML 2.5 dengan use case diagram, activity diagram, dan class diagram. Adapun penarikan data dilakukan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, sedangkan visualisasi data ditunjang dengan perangkat lunak Power BI. Hasil akhir dari pembuatan tugas akhir ini adalah sebuah aplikasi yang dapat memvisualisasikan data secara near real time dari sensor people counting, sensor ARUBA Analytics and Location Engine (ALE), dan data transaksi penjualan dari Point of Sales (POS). Hasil dari visualisasi data ini dapat membantu MDS dalam proses pengambilan keputusan di berbagai bidang, seperti menentukan promosi yang tepat pada waktu yang tepat, menentukan jumlah karyawan yang efektif pada jam kerja tertentu, dan memaksimalkan tampilan produk-produk (floor display) pada gate yang paling sering dilalui pelanggan.
