Abstract

This study examines the Tanah Abang area, which has a population of 174,332 people (2018), and a total space reaching 9.30 km2. The appointed area is a densely populated area accompanied by the density of the KRL station; in addition, the traders scattered around the neighbourhood are a severe problem. Based on this study, population density may cause consequences on environmental factors and the population's quality of life coupled with the lack of Green Open Space (RTH). According to that, it correlates with the quality of human life, both physiologically and psychologically. The Interior Design of the Public Urban Healing Space focuses on the transition from the dense area of Tanah Abang Station to the Tanah Abang commercial area complex. The transition area becomes an area that introduces the perception of architectural space that connects all demographic characteristics of society and integrates one place to another. The individual's freedom of ownership of space regarding area shows that 'metropolitan cities influence individual changes inwardly'. The research results show an area of ineffectiveness on the Tanah Abang Multipurpose Crossing Bridge in the Station area. The design of the Urban Healing Space aims to provide facilities that offer a healing atmosphere from the denseness of the Tanah Abang area through a spatial psychology perception approach and green design. Through the results of research and the method used in this design, it will be able to provide a different experience related to the perception of the user's space passing through the Tanah Abang Station Area.
