Abstract

Bertambahnya jumlah siswa setiap tahunnya dan terbatasnya kapasitas sekolah membuat pihak Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan merencanakan proyek ekspansi khusus untuk siswa sekolah dasar pada Sekolah Dian Harapan Holland Village, Manado. Berkolaborasi dengan Program Studi Desain Interior Universitas Pelita Harapan Karawaci untuk membuat desain sebuah sekolah yang menonjolkan faktor keamanan, kenyamanan, dan kesehatan siswa dalam beraktivitas dan melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran di masa pandemi. Desain sekolah eksisting memiliki courtyard yang digunakan untuk siswa bermain dan berolahraga, akan tetapi hubungan courtyard terhadap ruang disekitarnya tidak terlihat dengan jelas. Oleh karena itu pada proyek ekspansi Sekolah Dian Harapan Holland Village, inner courtyard menjadi solusi dalam desain sekolah di masa pandemi karena letaknya dapat mempengaruhi penempatan fasilitas dan aksesibilitas pada ruang untuk memaksimalkan pencahayaan alami, penghawaan alami, dan hubungan antar setiap ruang. Fokus penulisan ini terdapat pada pengaruh letak inner courtyard terhadap ruang kelas yang didapat dari hasil analisis desain dengan metode kolaboratif berdasarkan tinjauan literatur dan wawancara bersama dengan perwakilan pihak Sekolah Dian Harapan Holland Village untuk mengetahui kebutuhan, aktivitas, dan pembelajaran siswa di sekolah yang menjadi acuan dalam mendesain. Hasil keberhasilan desain dinilai berdasarkan analisis perbandingan desain proyek ekspansi dengan desain sekolah eksisting. / Due to the increased number of students every year, The Pelita Harapan Education Foundation is planning to expand a new Elementry School project at Dian Harapan School at Holland Village, Manado. Collaborating with Design Interior Study Program at University of Pelita Harapan Karawaci to make a design is wellknown to safetiness, comfortness, and healthiness, of the students in their activities and learning during the pandemic. The design of the existing school have courtyard which is used to play and sports or exercise, but the correlation between the courtyard and other function rooms are clearly noticeable. That is why, the expansion of Dian Harapan School of Holland Village, the inner courtyard become a solution for design the school in pandemic period because the place can affect the placement of all facilities and accessibility to the room for maximise its natural light, air, and relation for each room. The focus of this writing is the placement of inner courtyard towards the classroom which we had from the analising design using collaborative method based on the literature overview and interview with representatives of The Dian Harapan School of Holland Village to know the needs, the activities, and the study of the students in school as a reference for the design. The design success are assessed based on comparative analysis of the expansion and the existing design.
