Abstract

Penulisan ini diawali dari keprihatinan penulis terhadap meningkatnya tumpukan sampah plastik di Bali memberikan dampak yang sangat buruk bagi makhluk hidup maupun lingkungan. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam pengolahan sampah plastik. Get Plastic merupakan sebuah komunitas yang bergerak di bidang daur ulang sampah plastik. Komunitas ini mendirikan sebuah pusat edukasi yang diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah bagi masyarakat untuk mendapatkan edukasi secara aktif maupun pasif. Penulis memilih Green School Bali sebagai lokasi yang tepat untuk perancangan pusat edukasi dikarenakan kondisi bangunan yang cocok untuk kegiatan edukasi. Tidak hanya itu, bangunan ini juga bangunan ini juga memanfaatkan material ekologis yang sesuai dengan visi dan misi dari komunitas Get Plastic. Hasil dari perancangan ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perancangan berhasil dalam memfasilitasi kegiatan edukasi aktif maupun pasif di pusat edukasi sehingga semakin interaktif, rekreatif dan edukatif. (2) Perancangan berhasil dalam menggunakan material ekologis sehingga sesuai dengan visi dan misi dari komunitas Get Plastic. / This writing started from the author to increase the pile of plastic waste in Bali which has a very bad impact on living things and the environment. This can happen due to a lack of public awareness in processing plastic waste. Get Plastic is a community engaged in the recycling of plastic waste. This community is an educational center that is expected to be a forum for the community to educate actively or passively. The author of Green School Bali as the right location to choose the design of an educational center because the condition of the building is suitable for educational activities. Not only that, this building also uses ecological materials in accordance with the vision and mission of the Get Plastic community. The results of this design indicate that (1) The design is successful in facilitating active and passive educational activities in the education center so as to increase interactive, recreational and educational activities. (2) The design is successful in using ecological materials so that it is in accordance with the vision and mission of the Get Plastic community.
